Ch.5 Tessa
Immediately my eyes snap open and I lurch forward an annoying beeping going off matching the speed my heart is racing at. I looked around confused and taking in my surroundings. I'm in a hospital room of some sorts and Wynn is sitting at the table is staring at me intently. But my attention is directed across from me where a sleeping Mairead lays. Slowly I out of the bed slipping off the wires as I cautiously walked over to her bed. Out of the corner of my eye I see Wynn stand up, but luckily he leaves me be. I go by her bedside next to a table where needles with what I assume are sedatives are. I look down at her sleeping figure and a pang goes through my heart, for what I’m about to do. Gently I place my hand on the table balancing myself as I kiss her forehead, my only sign of an apology. I stand back up, with a needle in hand, to see that Wynn has now sat down no longer on his toes. Knowing this was my best chance I suddenly sprint towards the door hoping that the rest of the house isn’t as confusing as it could be. I fling open the door to find a tall blonde girl in stiletto’s smirking at me with her arms crossed on her chest. Immediately I swing my left hand and unsurprisingly she catches it with a smug grin. But before she could even blink my right arm snakes up with the syringe and I jam it into her neck as I press the top causing the liquid to go in. For 3 seconds her eyes go wide in realization and then she collapses. I hear curse words behind me as I jump over the body my feat barely landing outside the door frame and into my escape for freedom as strong arms encircle my upper torso. I’m pulled back kicking and screaming but this does nothing. Wynn pushes me back onto the bed and yells for help as he pins me down onto the bed while I fight to be released.
Suddenly another set of arms grabs my left leg and quickly it is tied down, they then move on to my next leg and arms and soon I am completely immobilized. Too tired from fighting I look up to see that my attackers are Wynn and Jay. Jay gives me one last disgusted look before walking over to the crumpled blonde girl and checking her pulse. He carefully lifts her up and walks away leaving just an aggravated me and a hesitant Wynn. He stares at me a while until finally he just grabs a chair and sits. We are both in the middle of a stare down neither one of us wanting to give in when I divert my attention to Jay walking in. He looks no less angry but is accompanied by an older guy. I would say mid 30’s because he has shiny slicked back black hair and startling natural blue eyes that almost everyone here seemed to share. He is dressed in an expensive sweater and jeans, and for some reason he sparks my interest, he reminds me of someone that I can’t quite place. He’s in a deep conversation with Jay when he quickly turns his direction towards me. He motions for both boys to leave then sits in the chair Wynn had been occupying earlier.
“I’m sorry Tess, about these accommodations” he starts while gesturing to my restraints “but you left us no other choice.” I scoffed in response and he merely smiles.
“I never asked to be here” I grumbled
“Don’t worry” he assured, “ you’ll soon be begging to stay”
I merely eye roll in response.
“You see” he went on to explain “ we’re the only ones that can help you.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about” I mutter.
“Oh but you do” he chuckles. I now had an uneasy feeling about the guy and what he knew and it was evident across my face. He saw this and hastily began to explain,
