The Conference (chapter 8)

Allister's POV:

"Can we talk son?" My dad asked.

I hesitated. He and I never had a good a relationship.

"Of course you can come in David" Em smiled

"Thank you" My father said stepping in the house.

I watched my dad walk in the house but then felt Em lean against me.

I looked up to see Emmeline's dad in the door way. He looked like he was ready to kill Em.

"Go away" she demanded

"Don't you dare tell me what to do you stupid bitch!" He yelled as he raised his hand.

My father quickly came to the door.

"I told you I would help you as long as you didn't do anything" My dad said angrily.

"Em go with dad" I said.

She was hesitant but went with my father.

"Call the police. I don't trust your father" I said

I stood in the door way blocking Mr. Davis from getting in.

After a minute he got frustrated and started to push past me. I refused to let him through dn he tried to push me away.

Luckily someone got here fairly quick. He handcuffed Mr.Davis.

"Thank you" I said.

"So you're Allister" the guy said. It was the same guy that was here a week ago with Megan and Em.

"I'm Peter." He held his hand out.

I shook his hand and we walked into the living room where my dad and Emmeline were talking.

Peter made Mr.Davis sit down then sat in the chair next to him.

I said hello to my dad who was sitting on the couch. Em stood up to let me sit next to my dad but I just put her on my lap.

"What's going on" Peter asked. The room was silent for a moment

"I heard your getting a divorce" my dad said

"That is true"

"You can't. We all made an agreement" Mr. Davis said.

"Actually no we didn't.  I said my son would marry your daughter. That was it. We never said that they couldn't divorce " my father spoke up.

"Emmeline and I planned this before you came. She and I made a deal"

"No we did not!" Emmeline yelled.

"One moment your beating me, the next I'm punching the fiance I didn't know I had!" Emmeline yelled.

"Sorry for that by the way" she turned and said to me.

"You had great form. And it was super strong. Kinda hot to if I'm being honest" I smiled.

"Aww really? I can punch you again if you want" she joked

"Only if we get to make lo-"

"Do not finish that sentence!" Peter yelled

"Sorry" Em and I said at the same time.

My dad laughed while Emmeline's looked furious.

"Enough! You are not getting a divorce! It will make me look horrible!" Mr.Davis yelled.

"No it won't. We will have a press conference to explain everything to the public. What will make you look bad though is me pressing charges" Em said
