"May I ask something before you continue?" His eyes meet mine in curiosity.
"Of course, what is it?" I shift uncomfortably and rub the back of my neck as a nervous force of habit.
"Wh.. What's your first name?" The corners of his lips curve up into a small smile he seemed happy, why would he be happy if I were asking that?
"Harry.. and you still do that?" His lips stretched to a grin as he observed my actions.
"Do what?" I raised an eyebrow as he laughed softly.
"Whenever you got nervous you would always rub the back of your neck. It was a habit that you caught from me," He erupted a low chuckle as a small smile stretched onto my lips.
"Anyways onto more important things, Anna has kept something from you, but her and I resolved our conflict when I noticed that she was attending this university. You may have found out, but you and I were once together and we loved each other greatly.." Harry's lips moved effortlessly as words upon words fell from his mouth.
-
Hours had passed and the sun was slowly rising from the horizon. Harry and I sat on the bench in fits of giggles, he told me of memories of him and I. From embarrassing moments of sneaking his cat into a hotel by wrapping it up like a baby to when he comforted me while I cried when my father passed.
I may have not known Harry that well at the moment, but it sounded as if he cared for me in the past. Him and I must have been deeply in love, but I had to wreck it. Haha, nice pun Jane. Also Harry told me of my accident and why Anna refused to inform me of Harry after I lost most of my memory.
"So I was thinking maybe.. we could get back together?" My eyes widened and I stood up quickly in shock.
"Wait what? No I'm sorry I can't do that.. we may have dated in the past but I don't remember those feelings those memories.." He sat there quietly.
"What? Jane I love you I can't love anyone else it's impossible all I ever think about is you!" His voice raises and I back up scared.
"I-I have to go I have class soon," I ran back to my dorm in fright ignoring his shouts of my name. He was crazy if he thought I was going to go back to him.
Although he was my only class on fridays, I could never attend his class today after that encounter. Anna rushed up to me with wide eyes, she looked shocked to see me.
"Did he tell you everything? I'm so sorry I kept it from you I was mad and he texted you and you crashed and I'm sorry and I should have told you earlier about him and-" I giggled lightly and hushed her.
"He did tell me everything and I understand. But he wants us to get back together.. I kinda told him no. I'm scared! I don't even remember my feelings toward him, sure he told me of our past memories and such but that doesn't change the fact that right now I feel nothing towards him. He's my professor, even if him and I got back together he would still be my professor and that would be illegal, isn't it illegal?"
"Well yeah but you two were really in love. Don't you remember how depressed you were before you met him? He made you happy again, you were so depressed and upset but when he came your eyes were brighter you actually smiled and you couldn't help but giggle whenever the name Harry was brought up, Jane he is the one," I rolled my eyes and shook my head at her statement.
"He is not the one, but he is my professor and I'm not letting anything get in the way of my perfect A for the creative writing course," I groan and stomp off to my room in annoyance. There was no way I was going to class today.
-
Anna rushed into my room with an excited grin. She seemed ecstatic and I knew she had a plan, and her plans are never good.
"Guess what I heard around campus today? There's a party at the frat house for the beginning of the school year, we are totally going," Anna squealed and I knew this was going to be a bad night.
But hey, maybe I could get my mind off of Harry.
