We walked slowly around over the curve and we saw the actual spider now. It was humongous. Its eight legs were about the size of my whole entire body and its body was the size of a bed.
It had hair everywhere on his dirty, black skin. Its eyes were the size of my head and were the all red. I was scared. My heart was starting to beat really fast. Although I supposed my have these powers, I don't know how to use them or even summon them at my will.
"Stay as close on the wall as you can. Do not make a noise. We are gonna try and attack the spider while it has its back turned on us. Got it." I told them quietly. I didn't really have time for mess ups and distractions. We needed to get to Matthew and Posiedon fast.
I walked up closely and peeped to see which way the spider was facing. It was still making noises and walking in our direction. It had a what looked like a routine and would walk a certain amount of steps and then turn around and do the same thing. It was like a cycle.
It would keep on repeating its routine. I had waited and watched to calculate how many minutes we had before it turned around and walked in our direction. It had tooken four minutes in our direction and then three minutes back. I quickly tip toed over to the others.
"Come up behind me. We have three minutes to try and get as close as we can behind it and then kill it. If we can't kill it which is mostly likely whats gonna happen, just run between its legs and side step it. If you get caught do whatever you can to get out of its grasp." I told them a little quickly.
"So what happens if we do make it out and ahead of the spider. What do we do next?" Rocket asked me.
"We stop and listen. The tunnel that has the most noises or sounds like some things in it will be the tunnel we go into." I said answering Rocket's question.
"Let's do this already, were already wasting time." Aracia said desperately.
"OK then let's go. If things go south, never stop running." Zach whispered in Maleah's ear.
Maleah nodded her head to Zach's instructions. Something bad must have happened to her or something. Maleah was very different. I doukdnt put my finger on it but maybe I would find out what it was one day. I ran over to the side of the tunnel and peeked again at the spider.
It was about to turn its back. "Come on." I told the others a little to loud. The spider immediately froze. I'm pretty sure it heard me. I was expecting it to come run in our direction and catch us in any second. I was prepared to run for my life if the spider did.
Instead, the spider looked behind itself and turned around and started walking towards the exit of the tunnel. I ran up on the wall and pushed my self as close to the wall as I could. The looked over and the others had copied what I was doing.
Thank gosh. I was feeling relieved and started to calmly down. I was about to tell them and encourage them that were gonna make it. That was until ran away from the wall and into the middle of the tunnel.
"Maleah, Maleah what are you doing, get back on this wall! Are you trying to get yourself killed? Get over here now!' Zach demanded loudly at Maleah.
Maleah had pointed her shaking finger in the direction of the spider. I looked over to where the spider should have been, but it wasn't there.
"Guys, guys, shut up and listen to Maleah." Winter yelled at us.
Zero, Aracia, Rocket, and Zach looked at Winter and then at Maleah. They finally had caught on and looked to where Maleah's finger was pointing. They looked over in the tunnel and saw the spider wasn't there.
Aracia gasped. "The spider, its, its, its, gone." Aracia said. Aracia jumped off the wall and walked to where Maleah was. Aracia grabbed Maleah's hands and tried to tug Maleah to go run with her in the tunnel out of joy but, Maleah would budge and move.
