YEARS AGO"Babe?! Hurry, grab everything and burn it! "
"I'm trying honey. Just please just go check on her, I'm going to the basement for the rest! " A woman replied.
Rushed steps could be heard as she raced downstairs to their tightly locked basement. The man, scurried upstairs and gently opened a bedroom door to his daughters room. The stars scattered on the ceiling glowed a yellow color against the white paint. Her red walls and flowery decor matched the sleeping girls personality perfectly.
She slept soundly, hair a mess, leg dangling off the side of the bed, mouth agape and a small snore. He pulled the soft red and black blanket down from her shoulders to her knees. He smiled gently before kneeling beside her bed and taking her hand. Silent tears ran down his face as he looked at her.
"Ivory. My sweet daughter. I'm so sorry. This was never supposed to happen. We tried to settle for a normal life, for you and your brother to grow up normal. But- but... it's not possible. You're too young for all this mess. "
He grew serious as he quietly spoke. "They're coming now and we can't stop it. But.. we can stop them from succeeding. It's the only way baby girl, I love you so much. I'm sorry. " He kissed her head before seeing the door creak open.
A teenage boy stepped in. "Father? "
"Brandon. "
He stood and wiped his face. "Listen close son. You need to take this bag, and go to Aunt Mikaela's. Her and Sam will take care of you. You cannot stop, you cannot look back and you must never speak of this house, us, your sister, no one. Nothing. You must act as if we have passed. Do you understand? "
He put a had on his shoulder. Brandon knew of their previous employers and how dangerous they could be.
He had heard his parents whisper amongst themselves and tell stories about it, but only very vaguely. He knew for sure that his little sister was special though.
He was aware their previous job had its risks but never knew just what it was about and it scared him now more than ever.
He nodded frantically, taking the book bag. "Yes, yes I understand. But... what about V? Where are you taking her? "
Brandon asked worriedly. His father shook his head. "You mother and I have a plan. She'll be... fine. We will all be fine. Now go. Go now. "
He hugged his son lovingly before turning back to his daughter. "Stay safe dad. Take care of little V... tell her I'll miss her and I'll see her soon. "
He said, kissing Ivy's head softly before taking off. His father then gripped Brandon's Manila folder tightly in his hand. The folder that contained his social security, birth certificate, any ID that even related to him. He took his lighter and set it ablaze. As far as anyone knew, Brandon Willows no longer existed.
And soon, neither would any of them..
He dropped it to the carpet floor and watched it slowly catch the carpet around it. He stepped forward and carefully lifted his young daughter into his arms. She stirred, "Daddy? "
"Shh baby girl. Sleep. We're just going on a little trip. " He whispered softly. She nodded back off to sleep without a care in the world, completely oblivious to the fire started in her room.
He carried her downstairs just as his strong and beautiful wife came back up from the basement, breathing heavily out of breath and crying.
"Everything even relating to it.... it'll be on here. "
She showed him a box. "Good. "
He looked her straight in the eyes. "Burn it all. "
She nodded and lit the fireplace before frantically throwing everything into it. Once empty of its content, she stood and placed a hand on her daughters forehead, and brushed her hair from her face.
"I don't know if I can do this, hun. I can't- this is our daughter... " She whispered with tears. He tightened his grip on her as they both let their tears fall.
"We have to. If not they'll come for her and- we just can't let them have her. To protect herself and everyone. No matter the cost honey. "
"I know. Just- "
"I know. I know. It's... our baby girl. " He said. She opened the door and they piled her into the car. The man got close to the location and sped up, taking the car right off that bridge that fateful night.
Unknowingly that his daughter that was supposed to perish with them, survived the crash.
IVORY gasped, breathing heavily. "Which whoa whoah, take it easy! Easy now... "
A man's voice spoke. Ivy flailed about, trying to get the unfamiliar hands off her arms. "Kid calm down I'm trying to help you! "
"Can't you knock her back out?" A gruff voice called out.
"No! " Multiple voiced pitched in. Everyone flashed glares at the man. He shrugged.
"Well. She was a lot more tame unconscious. Just saying. "
Drift stepped forward and knelt down. "Ivory! It is me, do you remember? "
Ivy finally calmed the slightest before opening her eyes. A man in an army uniform was holding her down and a larger alien robot stood behind the one she knew, Drift.
"I- " She coughed harshly. The man let her go and handed her an open water bottle.
"Here, easy now. Drink slow now. " He reminded as she took the bottle in shaky hands.
"Drift. You got hella lucky you found us. Otherwise she would've- " The man spoke, looking up at him.
Drift looked down and cut him off before he could finish his sentence. "Yes. I know. I'm- sorry. "
He looked to Ivy, almost as if he was speaking to her directly.
"What I wanna know, is why on Cybertron are we letting this human girl know about us? We're being hunted! She could take off the second we let her go and report us to the human government. William, you can't really expect me to just be okay with letting her go. "
"Ironhide relax. " Will said. Drift nodded.
"I have already told you. I will vouch for her. " He said, looking down at her still. She nodded, remaining silent as he throat was on fire.
"Anyways, you were injured pretty bad. And ignoring your injuries made it worsen. You've been out for a few days now. Sorry I had to hold you down, I couldn't let you rip your stitches. How are you feeling now? " The man, Will asked.
She shrugged. "Well... still hurts. "
"What hurts? " Drift asked.
"...everything. " She said shyly.
Will nodded. "Normal. Considering. Get some more rest kid. We'll wake you when we get moving again. "
She watched his stand and the big one, Ironhide followed. She glanced around, wondering where they had ended up but her eyes shut on her before she could get another thought in.
