After a month of staying in the temple with all the other Muslims, we are ready to leave. I touch the top of my head. *Bald*, I sadly thought. If you're wondering why I'm sad about this, well they had to shave our hair with that little sharp shaver, to show we worship God, it's not like I didn't praise God but, I wished we didn't have to shave our hair. I pick up Ghalen and Shanice both on my hips and we leave the city saying our goodbyes. We walked all night and finally, in the morning we arrive in Cairo. I see so many people in the city all surrounding a place there. We go to see what's happening and I couldn't believe my eyes. THERE. WAS. GOLD!!!!! But then that stone feeling came in again. I didn't like the way there were so many people around me. Yes, I walked with hundreds of other people, it's just maybe the way that pilgrim grabbed me made me feel really protective. I suddenly have the worst thought, *What if someone kidnaps Ghalen or Shanice!* I left my back. Ghalen is still there. I look to my right side. Shanice is still there. I took a big breath and think about the gold and how close we are to our location. People are leaving with big bundles of gold. I get next in line and they hand me 5 bundles of gold. I stare at them I smile and thanked the woman who gave me the gold. I leave and Shanice says, "Mommy that's pwetty" I reply back, "Yes, it's very pretty gold." I put the gold in my sack and we continue to travel.
