As we are walking across the hot desert, Ghalen starts crying and whining. I take my cloth and Ghalen off my back and put him on my hips stopping while everyone else is still walking. I ask him in a baby-like voice, "What's wrong Ghal, are you hungry or thirsty? He starts pointing toward the two men who are carrying the water supply. I also pick up Shanice and run to catch up with the two men and also the crowd. When I got up to them I politely ask, Hello you two, My son is very thirsty and he has been fussy, I- May I get some water for him? The two men look at each other then look at Ghalen then looked at me. One of the men said, Im sorry, but we are saving this water for emergency only! I beg asking them to just let my son have some. When I touched the shoulders of the second man, He pushed me roughly I fall on the ground with Ghalen in my arms with a loud thump. My eyes about to fill with tears when the leader Mansa Musa sees what was going on.
