                                                                chapter 7

                                                                   ----------

Sunday, the only day where I'm sure Ryujin won't call me to go out. How do I know this? Because that's usually the day runs errands with her mom. So that meant peace and quiet for me.
I could lay in my bed all day and do nothing, no homework, no troubles no nothing. I made sure I always did all my assignments on Friday even if my schedule was busy.
It was smart of me to do because that meant I usually had nothing to work on during the weekends.

I swung my head off the bed with my legs in the air, phone in my hands I scrolled through Instagram. I did not feel the urge to move at all, I was perfectly fine in this position. Until I heard a vicious noise come from my stomach.

I lifted my head looking down at it, which monster was living in there?
Well, I couldn't ignore my stomach for long so I sat up from my bed, placing my feet on the floor.
I put on my slippers and head downstairs.
Oh, that's right I still haven't gone grocery shopping, and neither has my sister.

Was I really in the mood to go outside right now? No. I wasn't.
Uber eats it is!

I opened up the app and scrolled through my options. I could honestly eat whatever right now, I wasn't feeling too picky today.
I settled on teriyaki chicken and rice, didn't bother to order a drink, there was plenty of water here.

I placed my phone down and made myself comfortable on the couch. Grabbing the remote I switched the tv and opened Netflix. I could watch a series to let time fly.
As I found a series that didn't seem like it'd bore me I heard my phone vibrate, signaling a notification. I reached for it and turned on the screen to see a notification from my sister.

<< I have things at the posts. pick it up for me pls >>

"What am I your dog?" I snarled out loud.
Why couldn't she had done it herself, I'm clearly occupied right now.

I let out a groan while removing myself from the perfectly comfortable couch I was once seated on. I dragged my feet up the stairs all the way to my room.
The post office wasn't too far away so I threw on a large hoodie over my grey sweatpants, made my way down the stairs and out the door.

                                                                   ----------

I groaned when the wind hit my bare face, reminding me I was outside. I don't even know why I was doing this for her but I knew if I didn't she'd guilt trip me.

I grabbed the packet of gum in my pocket and quickly popped one into my mouth. My eyes dullened as I walked, you could probably mistake me for a zombie.

The walk wasn't that long, but boy was it sure boring.
I wandered my eyes to a little girl who seemed to be having a hassle with some other kids.
I paid no mind to it until I saw her start crying and shouting, I was the closest to her so people would guess that was my little sister. She was causing attention to both me and herself so I quickly approached her and bent down in front of her.

"Sweetie why are crying?" I asked her not showing much emotion.
"T-the bullies t-took my doll!" She practically shouted her words while pointing to the 3 young boys behind me.
The boys had grins on their faces while one had a barbie doll in their hand. They all looked like those stereotypical 4th-grade bullies you'd see in movies.

I let out a sigh before getting up and dusting off my legs. I made my way to the boys and lowered myself with my hands on my knees.
"That little girl over there told me you guys took her doll. Is that true?" I asked them not to harshly.
"Scram old lady." One spat.
What the f-

Old lady?! I raised my eyebrow in shock at their words. Who thought them respect?

"That wasn't very nice to say" I fake pouted.
"Arent you too old to be hanging out with kids? What are you trying to do you cougar!"

COUGAR!? DID THIS LITTLE SHIT JUST-

"Alright, that's enough!" I raised my voice before snatching the doll out of their hands.
That must've triggered them or something because one of them kicked my knee. hard.
I yelped and grabbed my knee in pain, dropping the doll giving the kids a chance to snatch it and run.

"MY DOLL!" the little girl shouted. "PLEASE GET MY DOLL BACK" she cried at the top of her lungs.
I turned my head to her and glared at her, was she for real right now? I just got kicked by middle schoolers and all she wants is her doll back?
I didn't even know who this girl was but she was gaining me looks from onlookers.

I let out a groan and lifted myself up. I locked my eyes on the boys who were not so far away. haha, stupid little legs won't do you no good.

I chased after the little troublemakers who for some reason started to pick up their pace. I tried my best not to push into anyone but still earned eerie looks. I mean if you see a high school girl chasing three little boys what do you think of that?

I eventually started getting out of breath and my pace was slowing down. What type of middle schoolers run that fast?

I saw the boys suddenly take a turn into an empty aisle and disappear from my sight. Trying to fool me with that old trick as if I didn't just watch them take the turn.
As I got closer to the aisle I heard the boys yelling.

"Ah! Let go, you old man!"
such an annoying voice.
Confused I approached the corner and peeked over to see what was up.

The boys were being held by their hoodies and fidgeting to break free. I'd usually be thankful to the person for catching those brats but what changed that reaction was the person being--

"Yurazon??" Hyunjin blurted out.

I just cannot get a break from this man, can't I?
