Sourdough & Cream Cheese

The next morning you wake up and do your usual routine of getting ready. After your shower, you go to the kitchen to see Akaashi feeding Onigiri. The dog had slept in his bed last night when you put him in, but by the eyebags on Akaashi's face you could tell that Onigiri had probably crawled in with him.

"Slept well?", you ask, already knowing the answer.

"I know you know the answer.", Akaashi smiles, rubbing his eyes, and leaning down to pet Onigiri.

"Second day of school and you're already beat!", you laugh as you open the pantry to look at what's there.

"There's some sourdough in there, and cream cheese in the fridge, you can put those together and eat it in the car!", Akaashi points to the fridge, and then picks up Onigiri and puts him back in the bedroom.

"You sure he's gonna be fine in there by himself?", you ask as he comes back.

"Don't worry we'll be back at noon.", he reassures you as you get the bread and cream cheese.

"Do mind making me one too?", Akaashi asks going to the door to put on his shoes.

"Sure thing!", you say turning back to the kitchen to quickly put cream cheese on another slice of bread.

"Thank you!", Akaashi says as you had him the slice of bread. Opening the door you notice a small package on the door step.

"Akaashi did you order anything?", you turn around and hand him the package.

"Oh! They finally arrived!", Akaashi smiles as he carefully opens the package and takes out a glasses case. He opens the case and takes out a pair of glasses. Putting them on, he turns to you and smiles.

"Do they look good?", he asks standing up and moving towards the door.

"Yeah.. They look really nice.", you feel your knees start to turn into putty as you realize how beautiful Akaashi's eyes actually are.

"y/n? Come on we don't wanna be late.", Akaashi's voice snapping you out of your trance. You rub your eyes as you follow him down to the car. Stuffing the piece of sourdough in his mouth, Akaashi gets in the car, and pushes his backpack in the backseat.

"Wait- I forgot my backpack-", you groan as you realize you had probably left it back at the dorm.

Akaashi simply laughed and shook his head as he grabbed something on the ground, revealing your backpack.

"Did you have it this whole time?", you glare as you snatch it from him.

"No thank you?", he asks innocently.

"I did give you that sourdough.", you huff pointing at his hand, which was holding the half eaten slice of the bread.

"I guess so!", Akaashi smiles as he puts the piece in his mouth and starts the car.

"You know Akaashi, about yesterday, when you said you didn't know if the person you liked returned your feelings?", you ask a few minutes later.

"Mhm I do.", Akaashi says slowly, confused on why you were bringing this up now.

"Well maybe I could give them a call and talk to them!", you smile as you pull out your phone.

"Ah! Uh, well you don't have to do that...", Akaashi stutters, realizing that he may get exposed right then and there.

"Oh come on!", you insist prodding his arm.

"No really it's fine!", he snaps at you, starting to lose his patience.

"Geez, you don't have to be so snappy-", you grumble crossing your arms and looking out the car window.

"Big words coming from you.", Akaashi replies.

"Don't forget this is MY car.", you glare at him.

"Why are we even arguing? That's my love life you know.", Akaashi frankly says as he takes a sharp turn, making you fall on him.

Scrambling up, you glare at him, "I just wanted to help!", you frown looking away again.

"WELL SOMETIMES YOU CAN'T HELP YOURSELF!", Akaashi annoyingly yelled.

"Huh? What do you mean help myself? This is about you.", you confusingly said.

"It is about me. You know forget it, let's move on!", Akaashi blushed, realizing he was almost caught.

"Good plan!", you softly say glancing back to look at him. "Why are you blushing!?"

"Huh? No I'm not! Are you sure you can eat sourdough- You're seeing things.", Akaashi laughed pulling into the parking lot of the university.

"Hardy har har, very funny.", you laughed too, getting out of the car as it pulled to a stop. Akaashi got out too, as you wave good bye to him, and run into the building.
