"Okay, I'm so excited! I'm having a sleepover with a runaway, this is so fun." Maxine said. "Yeah." Ginny said. "What's wrong?" Max asked. "I don't know. I guess I'm just blue." Ginny said. "Why did you even run away?" Max asked. "Well... Georgia has illegal problems and some dark past. I just can't look at her the same." Ginny said. "You know, I'm freaking pissed still. But, do you want to say your side of the story...? Like, why you cheated and lied?" Maxine asked. "I don't know. It was just in the moment. I mean, when it first happened, it was after mine and Hunter's date. So, it wasn't cheating until the second time since we weren't exclusive after our first date. I constantly felt pressured to be with Hunter. I mean, I liked him. But, I didn't love him. He was just always so sweet, I couldn't look him in the eyes and tell him that I cheated. And, I lied because I knew what I did would never be forgotten. It was stupid, a small thing made a huge effect. I know you felt betrayed, so it was so hard to tell you. There were moments when I was about to tell you, but something came up. You are seriously the best friend I've ever had. Out of the eleven places I've lived, this is the best. And that's because of you." Ginny said. "Aw. Now I feel guilty! I was being kind of a brat... I'm sorry. It really was none of my business. And, don't tell me as his sister, tell me like your friend." Maxine said. "Oh, okay. Well, it was after I came home from my date with Hunter, and Marcus climbed in through the window. He said he couldn't stop thinking about me since I had kissed him before and you were talking about how me and Hunter are 'perfect' for eachother. Oh, yeah, I kissed him. I was leaving after us hanging out and he showed me his bike. I hopped on it. I went through the cul-de-sac and I kissed him when I hopped off the bike. Then after the crawled through the window, well, you know. I won't tell you the details. Then, a couple more times he came in through the window. Once, I had a breakdown and he hugged me, then I screamed at him to get out because I was hormonal. Another time, I was mad at my parents, I was- well... Did marcus tell you about how I self-harm?" Ginny asked. "Yeah, he did..." Maxine replied. "Well, I was about to, and he stopped me because he walked in. I never really released my stress. When I harm, the burn kind of breaks the built up stress and tension. Since he stopped me, it just kept on building up, so I took it out on him. After that, he told me he loved me. I told him he was wrong and said horrible, rude things. I wish I could take them back. Then, he left and went on his motorcycle. Then, when you were upset after Sophie, I said I was going to the bathroom, but really I was really going to check on him and apologize. He said he forgave me. I felt bad and then he got out of his bed and hugged me. Then, he tried to kiss me. I told him we couldn't, that's when Abby walked in. I told her that I needed to tell you. She said that you were in an upset state of betrayal, and that telling you about me and Marcus would only make you feel worse. Then, my dad left. Instead of Marcus coming to me, I came to him, through his window. I said that I loved him too. Then we kissed. I won't say the rest. After our big fight, I was mad at Marcus. On my way out, to run away, he apologized to me. I was really anxious to leave, I wasn't really in the mood to forgive him because I was in a rush. I took his bike and left." Ginny said. "Well, where did the bike go? And why were you mad?" Maxine asked. "Well, it broke on the way there. My dad took me to his apartment. I was mad at Marcus because he said it was a mistake. Oh, actually, I should apologize to him because of the bike." Ginny said. "Oh, yeah. Okay. He's in his room." Max said. Ginny got up and walked over to him. "Hey. I'm really sorry for everything." Ginny said. "Wait, what did you do?" Marcus asked. "I kinda stole your bike. And it kind of broke..." Ginny said. "I figured. I'm just glad you're okay." Marcus said. He walked up to Ginny and hugged her. He put his hand on her waist and leaned in to kiss Ginny.
