Chapter 32

(Amelia's POV)

"How long have you known my brother?" Skylar asked as we sat at the dinning table eating

"Umm, I think seven months or less"

"Are you two a thang?" I look to Axel and he looks up nodding slightly with food stuffed in his mouth "That wasn't a yes and that wasn't a no"

"Yes Sky, she's my girlfriend" he rolled his eyes and I look at him before silently eating the rest of my food. He never asked me, all he did was assume we were together

"Amelia" I turn to Sarah and hmm "We need to find dresses for the ball happening on Friday" What ball? she saw my confused look

"What are you talking about?" I set my fork down. Out of the corner of my eye I see all the boys tense while Skylar and her friend get excited

"The ball" she turned to the boys "Axel you didn't ask her?"

"I wasn't planning on taking her" I heard him mutter, at this I stood up

"So there was some ball happening that you didn't bother to mention. Then you decide that my best friend can know, on top of that you weren't planning on taking me or asking me to go or even if I would want to go?" I slam my hands on the table "Who were you planning on taking then? Or were you just going to go by yourself?"

"I was going to take Courtney" I heard him say before looking up at me without a single expression 

"Wow" I laugh humorously "So first you just assume we're together. Now I found out about some ball you plan on taking a gang slut to? Go to hell"

I storm out of the room with no protest from anyone, not even my best friend. I quickly run up the stairs towards the room i've been sharing with Axel, I shouldn't have shared a room with him or done anything with that scum. I quickly change into a tank top and jean shorts with some vans before packing a bag and grabbing a set of keys from Axels key box on the dresser. I sling the duffle bag over my shoulder and head down the stairs quickly heading for the garage. I stop dead in my tracks when I hear a voice behind me, I turn to see Skylar

"Where are you going?" she asked

"My apartment, I need to get away from Axel at the moment. I fear I may kill him" she nods and walks away

So I lied, I wasn't going to my apartment. Sarah and I got kicked out after not paying rent. I was going down to my parents house to stay there for a few days until Axel can pull his head out of his ass and stop being a dumbass. I click the key and hear a loud beep I look up to see a BMW, quickly I run over to it and climb in. I plug the key in before pulling out of the garage once the door opened. I speed down the drive way, I look in the mirror to see Sarah standing at the door with a guilty and sad expression on her face. Axel was nowhere to be seen. 

I spend the next two days listening to music and thinking as I make my way to my parents house. Once I see the old driveway I pull in. I part next to my parents cars and get out with my bag in hand heading for the front door, before I can knock it's thrown open and my mom wraps her arms around me in a tight hug

"Hi baby" She smiled pulling away

"Hi mom" I smile lightly back "How'd you know I was at the door?" That was a stupid question, they probably heard me coming.

"I heard you coming down the road and Sarah called me telling us that you might show up"
