"jack holy shit.. how.. why? what!?" my eyes watered as i stared at the boy before me. his dark curls fell over his face gently and he smiled a wide grin at me "i could ask you the same thing."

suddenly i felt a hand on my side. i looked up and saw miles standing beside me. "hm love who is this?" he asked as he looked jack up and down. "this is jack, we used to be close before i- before i uh.." miles nodded "we grew up together. we found eachother again in heaven but she disappeared. now we're here." i smiled at jack.

"sounds so fun but we've got to go now." miles said as he gripped my waist. i looked up at him "where?" he rolled his eyes "just come on" i nodded "jack, find me later?" "of course" i smiled big and waved as miles dragged me away.

"don't speak to him." "what?" i looked up at him "you are not to speak with him again, alright?" "miles you can't tell me what to do." he raised an eyebrow "oh is that so?" my eyes widened "i-"

he nodded and smirked "yes dear. rethink that." my eyes darted around and i saw boris. boris come here please i thought over and over. miles pulled my face towards his "don't ignore me." i nodded "o-okay.. i-" "miles, i steal y/n for a minute, yes?" we turned to face boris and i smiled "whatever."

he let go of me and crossed his arms. i grabbed boris' hand and smiled up at him. i mouthed thank you and we started to walk away. "why is he angry?" boris asked with curiosity lacing his voice. i shrugged "because i was talking to someone i used to be close with, a boy." he nodded "don't worry, he will get over it. who was it.?" "his name is jack-" "grazer?" he cut me off and i nodded. we stopped walking. "you know him how?" my eyes widened "i.. i cant remember exactly but we used to be very close. when i was.. was dying he held me" i felt my eyes water. boris sighed.

"i will not make you stay away but you need to be careful. he is very well known here for not being good. nobody is but that isn't the point, just be safe princess. look there's marley, go see her yes?" i nodded and kissed his cheek "thank you boris." "of course, i'll see you soon" he winked and i started off to where marley was.

jack

i watched as y/n approached marley. how do they know eachother? i suppose marley does work for lucifer. y/n giggled at marleys jokes and then marley glared at me. i rolled my eyes and smirked. i started walking towards them.

y/n had a drink in her hand and i smiled "hello there gorgeous" "hi jack!" she smiled up at me. god she is so beautiful. "hey mar." "sup" "just bored, care to dance?" y/n nodded excitedly and i grabbed her free hand, dragging her to the dance floor.

finn

i walked around looking for y/n. she was literally nowhere to be found. i finally found marley and decided to ask her if she's seen her. "marley hey" i said as i stood beside her. "what's up finnlard?" i rolled my eyes "have you seen y/n?"

she nodded "oh yeah she's four shots in with grazer right now." my eyes widened "grazer? as in jack?" she nodded "i believe so." i sighed "where." she shrugged "marley this isn't the time for your bullshit, take me to her now." she groaned and grabbed my hand, bringing me to another spot in the room.

soon i saw jack holding y/n way too close and she looked like she could barely stand by herself. "finn is that you?" she asked with wide eyes. i nodded and walked closer. "let her go jack." "i don't think i will, she seems happy. isn't that right doll?" jack continued to hold her closely to himself. she squeezed her eyes shut. finn i want to eat i'm hungry. please can we go get food. i sighed.

"y/n come here." i opened my arms and she tried to pull away from jack. he let go quickly and she fell onto me. "ow" she mumbled into my chest. "marley go get her cleaned up. dinner is soon." "sure thing finnlard." marley grabbed y/n gently and brought her away.

"what's your deal grazer?" he shrugged "i'm not sure what you're talking about." i rolled my eyes "you need to stay away from her." "or what?" "or.. or i don't know. just.. back off." "you see finn, in the current reality you and i are in, she isn't in love with you. in fact, she's in love with me. that's why she feels strangely attracted to me. because she feels the connection too." my hands were in fists by my sides. "yeah that's not true jack, we both know who her soulmate is." "finn i never said she was my soulmate, i said she's in love with me."

"just fuck off jack." "fine but if she asks for me, you're gonna have to give her what she wants." i rolled my eyes and walked away. y/n wouldn't ask for him. she doesn't like him beyond friends.

as marley held my hair up, i threw up in the toilet again. "let it all out, it's okay." i nodded and threw up again. i wiped my mouth and looked up at her "alright let me fix your makeup." i nodded and sat on the toilet. she gave me a cup of mouthwash and i swished it around for a minute before spitting it back into the little cup.

"so jack?" she asked as she began fixing my makeup. "what about him?" "you just seem.. oddly close." i shrugged "we used to be close, i can't even remember how we met." i giggled and she finished my makeup. she started brushing my hair and the triplets walked in. "are you okay princess?" boris asked as he walked closer. i nodded "i told you to stay away from him." miles looked down at me. my eyes watered. "i.. i'm sorry.. i know i.. i'll listen next time i p..promise..." his look of anger changed to a saddened look.

"hey hey i'm sorry it's okay.. don't cry.. i.. it's okay." he grabbed my hands and i sniffled. he gave a small smile and i nodded. "o..okay thank.. thank you miles" he nodded and stood up. i stood up and we all made our way out of the bathroom.

finn and i stood behind everyone. "you're a good liar." i looked up at him "what?" "playing the victim card, it always works on him. you did good." i smiled big "shut up" we laughed as we walked into a big room with a long table.

"ah boys, and girls. i see you're here to join us" lucifer smiled as we walked in. the boys nodded and a servant brought us to a table. we sat in a row.

marley - finn - me - boris - miles

soon, dinner was served and we began eating. there was small talk amongst guests but nothing i was interested in. i just kept my head down and ate. occasionally finn would give me an are-you-okay look but i'd simply nod and keep eating. boris grabbed my hand under the table and i smiled at him. he's so adorable.

after dinner finn brought me outside to the backyard. hell is much like the over world. heaven is so white and boring. hell is accepting so it makes itself comforting to its people. he brought me to a gazebo and there were fairy lights all around. music was playing and we stood in the center of it.

"what is all this?" he shrugged "for you" "me? why me?" "y/n i love you. we're meant to be together." my eyes widened. "finn.." my eyes watered and he sighed "you don't have to say it back, but i just needed you to know." "no finn i" i bit my lip and then pulled his face down to mine. we shared a sweet and passionate kiss. his hands were on my waist and the song flightless bird, american mouth played behind us.
