Valentines day.
The day hated by the single people
Hope filled for the desperate romantics.
Perfect for the couples since 7th grade.
And absolutely despised by Kaitlin.
The day before valentines day at school, the boys sent roses to the girls with their signature letting the girls know their interested
And what shocked Kaitlin the most, is that a deep red rose was in her locker signed anonymous.
Kaitlin stared at that rose all day and tried to deny the bubbly feeling when she thought of Lucas sending that rose.
___hours later on valentines day____
Kaitlin sobbed on her couch and the doorbell went off.
Trying to compose herself as fast as humanly possible Kaitlin opened the door and met Lucas's brown eyes.
"Whoa Kaitlin are you alright?!" Lucas frantic hands grabbed each side of my face.
The girl let out a giggle. "Yeah, I was just watching the titanic, it gets me everytime" wiping a tear away Kaitlin invited the boy inside.
Kaitlin always finds herself wondering why Lucas came to her. He had a perfect girlfriend, why would he want to ruin that?
"Lucas why are you here?" Kaitlin blurts out.
"W-what? Do you not want me here?"
"No, but you have a girlfriend and if she knows your hanging out with me--" Lucas cut off Kaitlin's rant wait a shhh and a "don't you worry, we're just friends anyways"
"Yeah" Kaitlin smighed. (Sighed and smiled at the same time. I made it up😬☺️) "just friends"
