Wind howling
Snow fluttering
Frigid air
And ice
Mittens, gloves, scarves
Boots, heavy pants, coats
Little children running
Happily in the snow
Night falls upon the earth
Frigid air is increasingly worse
Wind howls,
But the family is all warm by the fire
Crackling wood, warm bodies
Laughter, and slumber.
