"Where the hell are we going," I complained as we trod upon a beaten down dirt path. The clouds seemed to gather up ahead in a sort of circular fashion above the tall evergreens around us. It was darkening.

"Just another minute or so," Allen half-smiled, "they're right up ahead."

"They're? You mean we're meeting people?"

"Yup."

"Well... who?"

"You'll meet them in a minute," he replied, ending any further conversation between us. We walked about another minute or so before arriving at a clearing where I could see smoke twirling its way up into the clouds. The smoke seemed to be coming from a bonfire and a bunch of teenagers, some boys and some girls, were sitting in a circle around it. They seemed to be chanting. Allen and I started to walk over but I stopped us when I saw symbols carved into the dirt.

"What...What is this? Is this some kind of cult meeting?" I broke the silence with my nervous questions, "are you going to sacrifice me or something?" The entire group burst out laughing and as they all stood up one of the boys walked over to where Allen and I were standing. I recognized his face, I'd seen it before in the hallways at school.

"Allen, good too see you man," the kid smiled while clasping his hand on Allen's shoulder, "who's the broad?" One of the girls ran over and smacked him on the back of the head.

"Jasper, behave yourself," she commanded and she took my hand, "welcome darling! What's your name?"

"Jade. What's going on here?"

"Well Jade darling I'm Jasmine and this here is my brother Jasper, " she gestured to the boy rubbing his head next to her, "the rest back by the bonfire is our coven. We're all witches, you see. And since our names fit together so well (Jasmine and Jade) we're going to be the best of friends."

"Oh Jesus help me."

"Nope," Jasmine laughed, "Jesus doesn't exist." That was the last thing I heard before I blacked out.
