"Fareman, you survived!"Malcom exclaimed.

"I guess I did."Fareman said bluntly.

"Is Elric alright?"Godwin calmly asked Malcom.

"See for yourself." Malcom said as he pointed to Elric who was talking to Henry and William outside of a tent.

"Thank you, Malcom."Godwin said as he walked away to Elric.

Malcom looked down at Fareman's hands. He was holding a crossbow. Fareman had big bags under his eyes and he was drenched and bloody.

"Adam's dead?"Malcom asked.

"Yes. He died before he fell off of the boat."Fareman said as he looked at the ground.

"Then Why did you jump in?"

"I don't know. Can we not speak of it?"

"Sure. You need to know that Tomorrow We are going to the Akasawiji ruins to find a dark sword. It's the only way to fight Vervian."

"Alright, I've had a extremely awful day so goodnight Malcom."

"Good night Fareman."Malcom said as he stood in the mud.

The next morning everyone packed the tents in less then 30 minutes. The dark clouds had completely changed from black to white. Blue patches shined through the clouds. Malcom was woken by Godwin. Everyone was already packed and ready.

"You really need to figure out how to wake up quicker."Godwin said with a grin.

"Right."Malcom said with squinted eyes.

"Hurry up and pack your things, you need to get that sword. I talked to Samuel and he said that we would have to get the sword and leave as quickly as possible."Godwin said as he helped Malcom to get to his feet.

Malcom packed his sword and tent in a bag very quickly and then said,"Thanks, let's go."

Malcom had mounted his horse when he realized that Fareman wasn't with the group.

"Where's Fareman?" Malcom shouted.

"Right here."Fareman said as he left Samuel's shack.

He had been given 10 special arrows that, when shot at a being, causes the being to combust. Fareman quickly mounted another horse and everyone moved again.

While the day was bright, it was extremely cold, so cold in fact that the rain that formed puddles had frozen over. The coldness was abnormal for the time of year. It was late springtime.

"Why is it so cold?"Henry asked with a shudder.

"Vervian knows. He has to."Malcom said flatly.

"How could he know about us?"William asked.

"William, He's the one sending the Orcs and goblins. One of them must have gotten away."Elric said.

"Oh, alright."William said.

"We're coming up on the ruins!"Godwin shouted.

The Akasawiji ruins looked like a castle or a tower that had collapsed with some parts still standing while others were either buried or spread out. There were words carved into the side of the outer wall. It was in a dead language. Ancient Drelizze.

"We should keep our carts and horses on the trail. I'll take 8 people in, we don't want to make unnecessary risks. Malcom, Fareman, Faulken, Henry, James, Reegal, William and I will go. Elric, you are in charge of the rest."Godwin said.

Elric sighed and nodded. He didn't mind waiting with the 4 others.

Godwin pulled Henry aside and said, "I know where you come from. Can you translate Drelizze?"

"Yes, I think I can do it."Henry said.

"Good. Everyone listen! Henry will translate this while the rest of you search for the sword. And please hurry!"Godwin shouted.

"The text reads that there was a battle and many died by unnatural causes."Henry said.

Everyone sprinted away in pairs. Fareman and Malcom went together, James and Henry went together, Faulken and Reegal went together, and William and Godwin went together.

After a few minutes of searching, William saw a dark shine on the other side of a field. William shouted and sprinted ahead of Godwin but was tripped by something. He had been insnared.

"Help!"William shouted as he struggled to get loose.

Godwin leaped down and James as well as Henry got there soon after. Malcom and the rest were making their way there.

"You're stuck William."Godwin said calmly.

"Oh really I hadn't noticed! Why is my leg bleeding?"William shouted painfully.

As Godwin put his hands on Williams leg, James screamed.

Everyone turned their heads towards the man but they saw more then just James. James was being attacked by multiple undead people. The decayed had risen and James was ripped apart.

"We took to long."Henry muttered.
