Hi there. T T

Please forgive me if I get any names from the elven AU wrong. Also, please ignore that fact that William and Henry's names aren't as fancy as the other elven names. I HAVEN'T GIVEN UP ON THE FANTASY AU YET-

Also, Will and Henry will have..... eLvEn FrIeNdS in this AU XD

Alloralla Farthana = William's friend, she's an Ash elf.

Zero Iazrul = Henry's friend, Zero is also a grim reaper.

Just to clarify, William watched the fire near the graveyards. This is another thing, but royal blood and Fire Keepers have fiery phoenix wings.

(What the Ash elves wear- look at the picture down below) (I'll make a separate chapter on what clothing the elves wear)

William's pov

I sighed deeply, watching the fire burn in front of my eyes. Don't get me wrong- I love my duty as a Fire Keeper, but I don't get as much free time than other Ash elves. I remember the first time King (Ievis) Wynsanelis appointed me as Fire Keeper. I was only 5 years old, I think. And yet there I was, being chosen by His Majesty himself. King Wynsanelis was only 9 years old, just a year into him taking the throne.

I still couldn't forget the burning touch of his finger on my forehead, and the pain in my back when my wings ripped out. Alloralla told me she was jealous of my wings. But I truly don't think she'd enjoy having them form.

Once your wings formed, the two large scars you got from your wings ripping out on your backs remain until your death. It's a reminder for you to never forget what happened, and to always stay loyal to King Wynsanelis.

Alloralla once told me that she would become a Fire Keeper, and that I could help her. But no, it was the opposite. Of course, she got mad. But whoever's friends with Alloralla since childhood knows that she doesn't stay mad for long, and always has sympathy for others. That's her one weakness- not being able to kill someone without crying.

I cursed at myself, as I snapped out of daydream world. I sighed, noticing that the fire had flickered, in the house that I was guarding the fire. I knew that Fire Keepers were supposedly unable to be seen by humans, but I always felt like an intruder in the house I was guarding the fire in.

A couple with a 3 year old child lived here. I was assigned here, because they needed warmth, since they were much too poor to afford firewood. I had to keep the firewood burning, in order to keep my reputation as a Fire Keeper, stable.

Now- if the family, or the fire died, then I would be assigned to a new house, with a new fire to tend to.

I was only able to visit Alloralla, when the family had enough money to save up for firewood, and kept the fire burning for themselves.

Since the house was close to the graveyard, I was pretty close with the Death elves, even though they were a bit scary.

That was probably why my personality had changed to fiery and loud, to calm, collected, and mysterious. All just by hanging out with my grim reaper friend.
