It's around midnight and I'm laying in bed with Vinnie. He's peacefully sleeping with his head on my chest, as I run my hands through his curls. He is so cute when he sleeps.
A few minutes have passed and I start to get really hungry. I carefully move Vinnie's arm from my waist and tiptoe down the steps. All the lights are still on because awake and around the house (they are in the hype house rn)
I enter the empty kitchen looking for a snack.I reach for some popcorn in the cabinet and a bottle of water from the fridge. Just as I'm about to head upstairs, everything goes dark.
It's pitch black and I can't see anything.I look around the kitchen to see no time on the microwave or the oven. The power must have gone out.
I'm terrified. It sounds ridiculous but I hate being in the dark alone. Even though I know all the doors are locked it feels like somebody could sweep me away, and nobody would ever know.
I cling on tightly to the my snack and begin walking out the kitchen, towards the steps that lead to the bedrooms. I pause and look around after each step, making sure there isn't anyone lurking.
As I put my right foot forward to take another step, I feel a strong arm grab my wrist. Fear rushes through my body. I slowly turn around to see Vinnie.
"Relax babe it's just me"
"Oh my god you scared me"
"When I woke up I saw that you weren't there and that the power went out. I know you hate the dark so I came to check on you." he whispers and he pulls me into his arms.
"Guess what?" he says
"What?"
"Ever since you told me that you were scared of the dark I wanted to be prepared. So I used the extra closet and set up a fort with blankets, pillows, and battery fairy lights if the power was out."
"You're kidding. Why are you so perfect?"
He kisses me on the forehead and ushers me down the hallway. Vinnie opens a door I've never seen, revealing the cutest thing in the world.

"I don't deserve you" I whisper clinging onto his arm
"Come on" he says walking me into the closet.
We lay down with all the pillows and blankets in the fort. He snuggles up next to me and wraps his arm. I lay my head on his chest and he runs his hand through my hair.
