When the alarm blared for work, I was cruelly reminded why my mother would be so angry when she found me awake at night on a school night. I rolled over and pressed snooze on my alarm. I had a late start, but the three hours of sleep hadn't cut it. Taehyung fidgeted, kicking his feet against the sheets as his arm clutched tighter around my waist, "Is it mine or yours?" He asked at the alarm, which echoed its unforgiving tune once again.

"Mine," I grumbled.

Taehyung's arms detached, and he turned over and buried his head into the pillow. He tugged away my portion of the duvet. "Sucks to be you, have a good day."

My eyes blinked open as I turned off my alarm, I thought about closing my eyes, but I knew if I did, they'd close for another three hours.

My body shivered from the cold, although I knew it was the only thing keeping me awake. I turned to admire my sleeping soulmate, whose light breaths indicated he'd quickly sunk back into his dreams. I nuzzled my lips, peppering soft kisses against his long dark hair; as I moved back and rose from the bed, a sweet smile fell across his sleeping face.

"See you later, Angel. Hurry back. I miss you already." Taehyung sweetly called to me.

A late start had meant a late finish; I'd barely spent ten minutes in my office all day; I hadn't even turned on my computer to check emails. I'd been busy having emergency meetings with the producers who had an issue with the budget for a particular scene. The brainstorming had ended around six pm, when most of the shoots for the day had finished.

I was on edge all day just imaging crawling back into the soft covers of mine and Taehyung's bed, ruffling his long locks while Tannie rested on his chest. I could almost taste the deliciously slow, teasing kisses Taehyung and I would share as we both slipped into a peaceful sleep in one another's arms.

All of the other editors had gone home, so I'd been left to transport several copies of the new ideas and script changes during the meeting. I'd left a few copies for the director, who would see it in the morning, but the rest had to be appropriately filed with the lead editor before it could all have the final approval and go ahead.

I clutched onto the sheets as if my life depended on it, but my mind was racing with the thoughts of finally getting home, so as I stepped out of the director's office beside one of the indoor sets, the last thing on my mind was what awaited around the corner. No one was usually on set this late. I knew the schedule like the back of my hand, so when I turned the corner and made an impact with a firm chest, my first instinct wasn't to worry about who it could be. But more than that, I didn't drop the paperwork.

"I'm so sorry..." a voice cut off when my face rose to see exactly who I'd carelessly waltzed into. An audible gasp left my lips as our eyes met. Everything in the world pau was like watching the world of colour rain down upon the emptiness of the monotone world.
