Extra chapter #3: William and Edward

Edwards stood there watching William, a few who know the truth can say history is repeating itself.

A king, and his servant. Close enough but aren't allowed

Tyler had come to visit and William was ecstatic, Edward was happy but he felt jealous. He wished William to be in his grasp every time him and Tyler were hugging

"Edward... are you ok?"

Edward cleared his throat and turned towards his father "hmm? Why wouldn't I be?"

"You look sad... What's wrong?"

"I just.... I'm just tired. You know."

Louis nodded and smiled "Yeah, I know"

Edward nodded "I'll just call William and I'll be off"

Louis raised an eyebrow "You don't need William with you Edward"

"But I'd like him to be the person I say goodnight to last father"

Louis smiled and nodded as Edward blushed

William was closing the curtains as Edward was sitting on his bed looking at the servant that was 5 years younger than him

"Do you think the difference I'm making is good?"

"Hmm?"

"Do you think so? The difference I am making. Is it good?"

William smiled "well you're the first king to be crowned without a bride. So yes you are"

Edward slowly nodded "Is that good?"

William smiled and shrugged "you're 28. Quite young if you ask me"

"Am I?"

William shrugged "To me. But people are already knocking on my mother's door asking her for my hand in marriage"

"A-are they?"

William frowned and nodded "But I'm waiting for this one fool to realise the truth..."

"Till when are you giving this person?"

"A month... if they don't. I shall get married and leave this kingdom once and for all"

"You'll leave?"

William smiled and nodded "I want to see the world. Visit America. Sail across the sea. I came here because my mother needed me to be... But if I am married. It's not important"

"William... no, you can't..."

"Why not?"

"I need you..." Edward said in a quiet voice "I really need you"

William smiled and shook his head, he chuckled and walked towards Edward "Goodnight Edward"  he whispered before walking out of the room

"Father" Louis hummed sipping his tea "what if... I liked... a man?"

Louis' eyes widened and he spit out his tea. He coughed as a few maids came over and patted his back

"Father I-"

"Say what you said again... But be more proud about it"

Edward looked into his fathers eyes "What if I liked a man father?"

"Then I'll tell you to do what makes you happy"

Edward smiled and stood up, Louis stood up and hugged his son before he pulled away and patted his back. "If it's who I think it is... You should go for it"

Edward smiled and ran off, Louis smiled looking at him then turned towards the sky "History is changing my love... hopefully our sons will make a difference that you and I couldn't"

Edward crashed into William and hugged him tightly

"Edward you shou-"

"Shhh. I'm your king and you'll listen to me without saying another word" William pursed his lips and nodded

"Am I the fool who needs to realise the truth?" William looked at Edward and he smiled  "Answer"

"Y-yes... yes you are." William whispered and pulled away "My mother and sister told me I'm bringing shame to my fathers name, while my brother told me my father would love me no matter what... I tried to push them away, but I can't." William closed his eyes and his head bowed

Edward lifted his face up and smiled "Don't hide your bright green eyes from me" William blushed and nodded "Let's make a difference?"

Williams eyes widened as he nodded frantically then smiled "We will!!" he said as he took Edwards hand

He then stopped and bit down on his bottom lip "your father... will he be ok with it?"

Edward nodded "Yeah.... He is "

"King Louis... I apologise for your son"

"What about him?"

"He brought shame to your whole family... he's engaged to another man... a servant man"

Louis looked at the person talking to him and shook his head "That's not shame, that's pride in being who he wants to be, that's me being proud of him, that's him making a difference that I couldn't"

"What about an heir?"

"I think there are many kids that need homes..." Louis said before he turned towards Edward and William who are dancing around an empty room while they laughed

"They'll be giving a few of them homes"

Edward and William stood outside on the balcony with their hands together looking up at the stars

"So this whole time... my father was talking about yours?"

William laughed softly and nodded "I think so... Many people say their loved ones are in the stars."

Edward nodded and gripped Williams hand tightly "But there are many coincidences that match up"

"Like...?"

"The day we met. You told me your fathers middle name was Edward, My fathers middle name is William. During the anniversary of your fathers death, my father was sad as well. Harry Edward styles... Same grave, same name"

William smiled and nodded "Seems like we are living the life our fathers wanted but could never have"

Edward kissed William' hand and nodded "we are"

Louis sat down on the dirt and smiled

"They did it... they did it, they made a difference" Louis whispered then coughed "the biggest difference one could make my love they did-" he coughed once again as rested his forehead on the tombstone "they did it for us"

"YOUR HIGHNESS"

Louis' eyes slowly closed and he smiled weakly "I'll see you soon my love... it's been years... and I'm finally going to join you. Keep my eggs ready, and our bed warm... tell my mother I want her to be the first person I see, I want to tell her about everything... and to be the first I hold, and tell her the whole truth. It was supposed to be you and me... but our sons did it instead" louis whispered as he took his last breath, his eyes closed and he welcomed death with his last smile still on his face
