It was Monday morning. I was doing my curl routine in the mirror while thinking about the events that happened over the weekend.Flashback: Friday afternoon
4:30 pm
Janitors closetOrien had told me to meet him on the top floor janitors closet, for some reason. Even though I denied meeting there, he said it was the only place we'd get enough privacy to discuss their "plan."
I reached the closet door, but before I could knock, it was opened and I was yanked inside.
The closet was pretty spacious, but not really for seven people.
All six were in the closet with the light on and were now giving me a once over.
"Were you followed?" Asked Abbadon.
"W-well I didn't really have time to check.." I said.
"It'll be fine, the closets on the top floor are sound proof." Orien said.
"So you're agreeing to help us?" Wesley said to me, his tone didn't even sound like it was a question.
I opened my mouth to speak but I was cut off.
"I've already informed my family of your family's last name, social numbers, and other things needed to put on our insurance so whenever your family is sent to a hospital, our insurance is automatically linked with them." Wesley told me, smiling slightly. "..and don't worry, we'll cover the expenses for your..recent loss." He said.
I gave him a starry eyed look. That's all I ever wanted. I needed it to be serious. I hated how expensive the health care system had gotten, and it was incredibly hard for my family to get insurance. Health problems are dominant in my family genes.
"I- thank you.." I said not really knowing what to say. Why are they being so nice to me right now? This has to be history. They're 100% planning to kill me.
Their end goal is Erina. Think of Erina.
"Um..what did you want me to do?" I asked now feeling weirdly emotional.
"We're gonna give you our numbers, we just want you to get closer to Erina, learn things about her and feed it back to us. That's just your part, we'll handle everything else, and we'll inform you about changes." Killua said to me, typing something into a pink cased phone.
Pink cased phone? That's my phone!
My eyes widened and I looked down and put my hands in my pockets. How did he take it off me without my knowledge?!
"You're our best choice, Erina isn't that fond of Mary anymore by the looks of it, and Julie seems way too intimidating for her, she'll trust you." Engel told me in a nonchalant tone.
Well I feel flattered.
"That should do it." Killua said handing my phone back to me.
"A-alright..." I said confused. That was a quick meeting. I thought I'd have to do way more complicated stuff. What is there about Erina they already don't know? Killua is literally a hacker. There has to be a different reason for this.
"If that's all, I have to get home before my dad so I can make dinner." I told them, awkwardly fidgeting.
"You're free to go babe." Emerson said, raising an eyebrow at my fidgeting.
I barely let him finish before rushing out of the closet.
"Okayyy bye!" I said rushing off.
I made it down to the parking lot, out of breath from running down so many flights of stairs.
