The last time he saw her was at the airport back in Chicago.
He was going back to Japan that night and she just sent him off. It was an unforgettable week with her in the city she now lives in and he learned so much about her. "Please tell your mom thank you for letting me live here for a week."
She smiled timidly. "Please tell okaasan and otousan that I said hi." Yuta nodded. "Thank you for coming here, Yuta."
The guy shook his head then ruffled her hair. "Take care of yourself here." She leaned closer to give him a hug making Yuta sigh. He felt something wet on his chest and she could feel him shaking, she's crying. It made him hug her tight, rubbing her back to at least comfort her.
A sight of a tall guy nearby made Yuta smile. "Johnny is a nice guy," he whispered. "Be happy with him." Y/N nodded, wiping her tears which made him laugh. "You just came to Chicago and you already became a crybaby, Sakura."
She giggled at that. "I'll miss you, Syaoran."
The intercom called for the passengers heading to Haneda and he smiled at her then at Johnny who just bid farewell to him. Yuta turned away from her, holding his luggage tight. The last missed opportunity to confess to her. His last regret.
Yuta smiled at the memory. Why does he always think of that whenever he's in an airport? It doesn't even help that he's always going to other countries for his soccer games. "Coach is angry. The game is already tomorrow morning and you can't attend warm-ups. Do you think you can play properly?" Mark scolded after putting down his phone. "I told you not to go here but you..." Yuta just shrugged, closing his eyes as if sleeping. he doesn't need to hear that today.
He had a wonderful week. He's already conditioned for the game even without warm-ups.
His phone vibrated, a call from Y/N that he answered calmly. Maybe it's Jae again. "Ahjusshi..." To his surprise, it was Cherry's voice. "Please help us."
"What happened? "
"Eomma fainted. Ahjusshi, I don't know what to do." There was panic in her voice.
Yuta abruptly stood up that surprised Mark. "Mark, can you call an ambulance to Y/N's place?" he ordered then returned to the phone. "Cherry, can you calm down first?" He heard how she breathed hard. "Can you check if eomma is breathing?" He could hear Jae crying in the background. The guy beside him talking to someone on the phone.
"She is." The girl said quietly, voice trembling.
Mark signaled that he already called an ambulance, asking him what happened. "Don't worry Cherry, an ambulance is coming." He breathed heavily hearing a faint sob on the line. Cherry, the girl who doesn't even smile, is crying to him. "Cherry, calm down, hmm? Eomma and Jae need you now." He heard how she breathed heavily once again as if stopping herself from crying. "When the ambulance comes, tell them what happens. They'll take care of eomma."
"What about me and Jae?"
Oh yeah, there's only the three of them here in Korea. And it pains him that the younger is at a point of breaking down yet he can't do anything. What happened to Y/N? He lightly glanced at Mark who only gave him a warning look as if knowing what is on his mind. "I'll call you. I'm heading there."
When Yuta turned down the call, Mark gave him a scolding about missing the flight and the game. "Yuta, you're not her husband."
"And I can't concentrate on the game knowing that something is wrong with her." He took his wallet from his backpack then left his luggage to Mark. "Just this time, Mark. I don't want to regret things from now on."
