It was raining today.

It had been five months since Sasuke last talked to Naruto and Sakura. Five months since he last gazed affectionately at the pink-haired girl. Five months since he last laughed with Naruto while playing video games. Five months since Sasuke Uchiha passed away.

Two teenagers stood in front of an extravagantly decorated grave. Pictures, stuffed animals, and small trinkets that reminded people of him were scattered around the grey stone.

The only thing not allowed at his grave were flowers.

For weeks after his death, Sakura cried every night. Neither her nor Naruto had gone to school for almost two months, and even now they still struggled to go back to a place that reminded them so much of him. Sakura hated having to see that empty desk next to hers in literature, and Naruto found eating lunch on the roof awfully quiet without Sasuke being there to yell at him for his antics.

Sakura wished her parents hadn't walked in on her that day so long ago, if they hadn't then maybe Sasuke would have been here right now. Naruto on the other hand, was certain that Sasuke would have met the same fate regardless of if Sakura had survived or not.

Sasuke would have always ended up loving Sakura, no matter what had happened.

Naruto actually blamed himself, thinking he should have helped more. He should have told Sasuke's family the minute he found out, regardless of what his friend wanted at the moment. The guilt would eat away at the blonde forever.

They stayed together at the grave in silence, as they always did every friday since his passing. Sakura decided to head out first, giving Naruto a hug before she left.

As Naruto watched her disappear into the distance, he began to cough.

Purple flower petals fell from his mouth and onto the ground.

Sakura, now back at home, sat at her desk. She felt as if she always had a heavy weight on her chest. Sakura sighed, getting up and going to her closet. She pulled out a box, which she had been using to keep pictures and other memorable items in.

She took out a picture of her, Naruto, and Sasuke. Examining it, she felt her eyes begin to water as a smiling Sasuke stared back at her.

Sakura always loved to see him smile.
