NYX

THE walk back to his room was awkward, mostly due to the deafening silence. The blond did not acknowledge him, he didn't even bother introducing himself. For now, Nyx would call him blondie until he learned his name.

"I suggest you stop bothering the madam" The blond spoke as they arrived in front of his room, giving him a cold stare. He frowned at him, his distaste for him clear as day. "She has more important things to worry about"

"What makes you think I'm not one of those important things?" Nyx asked with a tilt of his head. He crossed his arms, puffing his chest as a show of intimidation.

"Excuse me?" The blond took a step forward, hands clenching beside him.

"If she didn't want me bothering her," Nyx replied, mimicking his movements, taking a step closer in retaliation. "Then why did she offer to bring me all the way here?"

"It seems to me," Nyx said, taking another step closer. Now, they stood toe to toe, both waiting for each other to do something, anything that would justify any physical altercation. "Your madam likes me very much"

"You are a fool to think-"

"Am I interrupting something?" The familiar voice of Crowe interrupted them, thankfully. Who knows what would have happened if she or no one intervened.

"No" The blond curtly replied, turning his attention towards her. "Madam Elena is waiting for you by the yacht. Please be ready within ten minutes"

Crowe walked off, knocking at the doors of Libertus and Pelna, relaying the message to them. While Nyx stood still, staring down at the blond. He returned the gaze, equally as cold. It was evident that they disliked, hated even, each other.

That would be a problem, as they both wanted to be close to the same person. Although the blond's intentions were unclear. Whether he coveted Elena's affections or if he was simply too protective of her was a mystery.

Nyx walked away with a huff, shaking his head in irritation as he headed towards his room to prepare. He shook away any negative thoughts, not wanting to face Elena with negativity. He hurriedly packed a few things, a couple clothes, swimming trunks and whatever essentials he needed out in the lake.

As he exited his room, his friends were already waiting alongside the blond. Without a single word, he immediately started his trek towards the yacht at the sight of Nyx. The four hurriedly followed after him, matching his quick pace.

"Hey, can you slow down a bit?" Libertus grumbled as he jogged towards the blond, clearly annoyed.

"We must be quick," He replied, increasing his speed. By now, the group was walking at a brisk pace. "It is not good to keep Madam Elena waiting"

"I'm sure she wouldn't mind waiting a few minutes" Pelna said but with an icy look from the blond quickly silenced any complaints from the four. They hurried through the manor, with the blond leading them through the confusing hallways.

They soon arrived at the boat docks, a large yacht waiting for them. The yacht was ridiculously huge, too big for a lake. But if Nyx had the amount of money Elena had, however much it was, he'd splurge on every luxury he could lay his hands on.

It had three levels, each floor having different amenities. From where he stood, Nyx could see the familiar silhouette of Elena, her back turned to them. She seemed to be preoccupied with something but in hindsight, she always was. Whether it was speaking to someone face to face or on the phone, she was always discussing something.

Whatever it was, Nyx had no interest in it. His goal that day was to at least have a moment alone with her, even if it were just for a second.
