Lets get into the story :3
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
20 Minutes Ago
Natalie's plan had gone off without a hitch!.... At first..... however amidst her success there were some.. complications.. with the later phase of the plan that had thrown Natalie for a loop. More specifically- her dropping the amuk's object- down into the smoke pipe of a random building, such is the luck of a super villain, and the amuk, without anyone to control it- had begun to go on what can best be described as a rampage.
Gabriel was keeping an eye on the situation of course, as much as he trusted Natalie, he wanted to make sure things went smoothly.
"Do you need help-? I can-"
"I've got this, Gabriel- trust me." Natalie said, the false confidence was almost convincing to Gabriel. Almost.
He was well aware of Natalie's need to prove herself- though he never saw a reason for her to put so much time and effort into something like that. As if she were trying to garner his attention or impress him. He wouldn't have given her a miraculous , let alone hired her, if he didn't think she was capable.
With a nod, the connection between them broke, the blue mask-like aura faded from his view. That is when he had informed you of the current situation:
Mini Flashback:
"Natalie is in need of... assistance.. at the moment- return Adrien and go help her."
The Present:
You had made your way to the floor length windows of Adrien's room, kicked the window open, and set him down inside without another word. It wasn't a conversation you wanted to start anyways. Thats more of a parent-child convo anyways- though Gabriel didnt seem like the type to start that kind of thing either.
You made your way over to Natalie- her location conveniently appearing on the gps on your wrist- you'd have to ask Gabriel about what exactly your suit could do since you were a bit preoccupied with stealing the miraculous and all last time you wore this.
You arrived at a major intersection, traffic had stopped completely seeing as that thing was blocking the road, although apparently the sentimonster stopped following Natalie's- ehem- im sorry- Mayura's- commands. The large humanoid creature held Mayura in its fist, swinging her around for a moment. It was actually quite funny- you were relieved to see someone filming it and made a mental note to look it up on MeTube in a week or so.
It didnt take long for Mayura to notice you, and she grimaced.
"I dont need your help."
If it was up to you, you wouldn't be helping her anyways- but- duty calls- so you'd have to put up with her attitude for the meanwhile.
"Looks like you do- Judging by the way that thing has you in its hand."
You spoke, looking down at her has the hand slowly shook her back and forth.
Natalie had no verbal responce other than a sigh- a not-quite silent acceptance of your help. In all honesty you were half tempted to leave her there, but you also knew Gabriel was probably observing, even if he wasn't saying anything or providing any sort of guidance, and you wanted to make a good impression.
The next 40 or so minutes of you rescuing Natalie from her own mess are quite blurry for you to recall. Mostly because you were more focused on how proud Gabriel would be at you saving Mayura, than actually saving Mayura. Still, one hour later the sentimonster was gone and you and Natalie were sitting on a rooftop catching your breath.
"....thanks..."
Natalie mumbled her gratitude to the point where you had barely heard it- but you heard it.
"Yeah- no problem. How'd you get in that situation anyways? I thought the amuks had to follow orders."
You looked over at her as you spoke, an eyebrow raised slightly.
Natalie had honestly considered answering you for a moment- but figured that it wouldn't turn out well in the long run- that- or Gabriel was going to go and tell you all about what had happened- and why 'you did a terrific job for someone so new to this' as he had said to her many months ago when this had all started. But of course- you didn't have a miraculous to take. You wouldn't have to fight through sickness in order to help him. You didnt have to work day and night just to finally get some semblance of acknowledgment from the man other than him telling you to cancel his 5 o'clock meeting because he was 'busy'.
"It doesnt matter. We should get back. I'm sure Gabriel will have a lot to say on everything."
Perhaps she was right- though you had just seen the obvious excuse of not having to disclose why exactly you had to come and save someone with more experience with this stuff than you did.
