Author's POV In the call Jisoo: yes...you guys heard it right. I am getting married after one week. Jisoo said in the group call to her three best friends trying her best not to sound irritated. Jennie: oh my gosh!!! I can't believe it unnie! Lisa : yeah me too. This is so unexpected! Rosé: but why are you having an arranged marriage? I mean isn't it a old fashion thing to do? Even your sister was in a relationship before marriage with her loved one who is now her husband.
Jisoo sighed lazily which didn't go unheard by the girls and said... Jisoo: long story. I will tell you guys some other time. Lisa: well we have nothing to do. So we can hear don't worry. Jennie: wait what do you mean by 'we'? I am going for shopping with my mom in a while and I also want to hear Jisoo Unnie's story. Jisoo: ugh I can't believe you guys are being so excited to hear this whole thing! Are you really my friends? Rosé: no unnie it's not like that, we're just really shock and confuse about your sudden marriage. Jennie: yeah right, we are always here for you so don't worry. Oh! and by the way I forgot to tell you guys something. My brother's marriage is also after one week which means that I won't be able to attend your wedding. Jisoo: what the hall Kim Jennie! You just told me now you guys are always here for me and not even a minute has passed you are saying you will not come to my wedding! Jisoo shouted through the phone.
Jennie: I am sorry I can't do anything, it's my brother's choice to hold his wedding on that date. Rosé: woah is it a marriage season or something!? Everyone is getting married in the same time! Jisoo: ugh why does it have to be like that?! Everything is so messed up in my life! Jisoo groaned making the girls to feel pity for their Unnie.
Lisa: unnie it's ok we know that you are being forced into this marriage but just think about it. Maybe your future husband is not that bad. I mean god will never do anything bad with you, after all you are such an angel. Lisa said trying to cheer up Jisoo but unfortunately nothing worked because Jisoo was remained frustrated and upset... Rosé: but isn't it a really big coincidence that Jisoo unnie's and Jennie unnie's brother's wedding is at the same day. Uhh Jisoo unnie? You didn't tell us your fiancé's name. What is his name? Jisoo: uhm..His name... Lisa: now don't tell us that you don't even know your soon to be husband's name! Jisoo: no wait I do know...It is...K-Kim Tai-Taehy-ung...oh yeah his name is Kim Taehyung!
Jisoo said finally being able to remember her fiancé's name while on the other side Jennie gasped after hearing the name that came out from Jisoo's mouth... Jennie: what!! You are marring my brother?! Jisoo, Rosé and Lisa: what!!! Rosé: I knew that something was fishy! Lisa: wow! This is so exciting and unexpected at the same time! Lisa exclaimed giggling like a teenager while the other girls glared at her through the phone for laughing at a complicated situation like this.
Jisoo: wait does it mean that Jennie is going to be my sister in law?! Jennie: sure it does and I am really happy because of it! Jisoo: ohh my god!!! My life is really unbelievable! Jennie: it's ok unnie. Even though my brother is a little bit cold, he is a really nice person. I can assure you that he will never hurt you. Lisa: Jennie unnie? May I ask what is your brother? I mean what does he do? Jennie: well he is the leader of the most dangerous Mafia gang in South Korea. Jisoo: what?!
Rosé: oh wow! Another shocking discovery! Lisa: wait is that's why you told us that you can't reveal anything about your family's identity? Jennie: yeah. My parents told me to not reveal anything about my family to others that's why I never really mentioned anything about my family to anyone. But since Jisoo unnie is now my would be sister in law, I won't have to hide anything to you guys anymore. Rosé: well congratulations to both of you unnie. You both are now sister in laws. Jisoo: not yet, Rosé. Jennie: not yet but will be soon! Gosh unnie! You don't know for how long Taehyung oppa had try to find you!! Jisoo: eh? What do you mean? Jennie: he-
Jennie was about to explain them but her sentence got interrupted by her mother... Jennie's mom: Jennie-ya let's go we're getting late! Jennie: yes I am coming! Ok girls, I have to go now, talk to you later. Bye! Jisoo: yeah I also have to check on some reports of my patients. Lisa : ok then bye unnies! Rosé : yeah bye. And Jisoo unnie don't take too much stress ok? Everything will be fine. Jisoo: yeah I won't. Bye! Jisoo said before ending their long conversation on the phone.
She decided to do her incomplete works again but before she could, the door of her office flew open revealing none other than Kim Seokjin. But this time not with his cheerful and happy face but with a concerned expression... Jisoo: what happened oppa? Are you ok? You look tensed. Jin sighed and smiled softly at her before walking to her big table.. Jin: no chu. I am ok. It's just that.. I came here to ask you..are you ok?..I mean about yesterday.. Jisoo : let's not talk about yesterday for now oppa.
Jisoo said with a tired look feeling really exhausted after all the unexpected events which has been happening on her life so far... Jin: as your wish but I wanted to ask you that do you know what is Taehyung's profession? Jin asked being a bit impatient. Jisoo nodded her head as an answer and said.. Jisoo: I just found out through my best friend. Jin: I see... So Jennie finally told you about it.
Jisoo nodded but soon her eyes shot wide open when she realised what did Jin said to her just now... Jisoo: wait how do you know that Jennie is my best friend? I never introduced her to you and she didn't attend your and Unnie's wedding too. How do you know her? Jin chuckled after hearing Jisoo's questions and decided to explain it to her... Jin: well I have heard her name from Irene many times so I just guessed that she might be your best friend, besides I already said yesterday that Taehyung is my friend. So isn't it obvious that I would know Taehyung's sister too? Jisoo: but Jennie doesn't know you. Jin: yeah she doesn't and it's because Taehyung never introduced her to any of his friends, neither did Jennie. They never revealed their identity to anyone. Only I and some of our friends know about Taehyung and his family.
Jisoo's mouth formed into an 'o' as she nodded her head in an understanding way. Jisoo: I guess there is much more things that I don't know yet. She said, sighing making her brother in law to chuckle at her... Jin: I also think that but don't worry, you will be happy with Tae. I know that he is the Mafia leader of a Mafia gang but still he is a nice guy.
Jisoo rolled her eyes and said.. Jisoo: yeah yeah whatever...but there is another thing which I can't understand. Jin raised his eyebrows and gave her a questioning look, asking... Jin: what is it? Jisoo: why does dad want me to marry a Mafia leader? I mean he, himself never wanted me and Irene unnie to get involved with his Mafia stuffs. Jin: yeah that's a question which I was thinking about too. Maybe he has a reason behind this. Jisoo: hmm. Maybe. Jisoo hummed, thinking deeply about her father's decision.
