Aria's P-O-V

I stopped by my locker to put some supplies that I didn't need in it. That's when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around and saw Jawan standing in front of me with a goofy smile on his face.

"Hey Aria," he said.

I laughed, "Hi Jawan."

"So, um, mind if I walk you to the bus loop?"

"I would mind if you didn't."

"Let me grab these," he said taking my books.

"Aw, how nice."

We laughed and we began to have conversation. We found out that we rode the same bus. As we were searching for our bus number, guess who I ran into... Lamar.

"Hey Aria," he said hugging me.

It threw me off because I didn't expect that he would've done that.

"Hey. Um, Jawan, this is Lamar. You guys met, right?"

"Yeah," Jawan responded.

"Yeah. What's up man?" Lamar said giving him dap. "But, anyway, you ride the bus?"

"Yes."

"Well, how about I give you a ride instead. Maybe we could get to know each other better," he said provocatively.

"Um... I- I don't know."

"Come on, Ma."

He bit his lip and hypnotized me with his green eyes once again.

I turned to Jawan, "Do you mind?"

"No. Just go. I'll see you later."

He handed me my books then walked away. I felt guilty, but then I felt Lamar take my hand and I brushed off the feeling.

"Come on."

He led me to a red convertible car.

"This is your car?"

He laughed, "Yeah."

I got in and we drove off of the school's premises. My hair flew everywhere, but I didn't care because it was like a movie. I Still Love H.E.R. by A La $ole played and it all just felt unreal.

"Hey, where are we going?" I asked after realizing that he missed my turn.

"To have fun. Relax. You're going to enjoy yourself. Trust me."

I thought about it. Should I trust him? Can I trust him? Well, the only way I can know is if I give him my trust.

"Uh, okay," I replied then began to relax and enjoy the ride.

We eventually pulled into a parking spot at a Häagen-Dazs.

He ordered our ice cream treats then we went to a nearby park then began to talk.

"So, what school did you go to before here?"

"Norwood High."

"I heard that a lot violence goes on around there."

"Like you wouldn't believe."

He laughed, "Well, I'm glad you came here."

"Oh? And why is that?"

He scooted closer to me, "Because I wouldn't have met you."

I blushed... Hard. He bit his lip and eyed me. That's when he began to come closer and closer and closer until... our lips touched.

That was my first kiss and it felt amazing. When we pulled away I looked down and moved my hair behind my ear.

He smiled at me, "Ready to go?"

I nodded, "Yeah."

We drove home silent. I was smiling uncontrollably. When he pulled into my driveway, he stopped me.

"Aria," he said.

"Yeah?"

"Want to go out again?"

"Sure. When?"

"Friday? At eight?"

"Okay."

"Cool."

I got out of the car and said goodbye. I walked into the house feeling... Different. I later found out that it was the feeling of being wanted by someone. And I loved that feeling.
