Aria's P-O-V

I looked out of the car window to see our new home.

"Hm, not bad," I said to my sister as we opened our doors.

"Yeah, I know right. Wait until you get inside," she said from the other side of the car.

We got the kids out and they 'oohed' at the house with wide eyes.

We went inside and it was amazing how spacious the house was. We soon began to pack out the boxes. We already brought a couple of boxes in when I felt a tug on my arm.

"Aria! Look!" Katelyn said pointing in the direction of the neighbors house.

I looked and saw two guys coming out... and over to us. They were kind of cute. One was light-skinned and the other was dark.

"Hello," the light-skinned one said.

I waved, kind of distracted by their looks.

"Oh. Hi," my sister said with a smile.

The kids kept quiet and held onto my hand, looking at the two boys.

"Uh, allow us to introduce ourselves. I'm Khalil and this is my brother Jawan. We're your neighbors."

"Well, I'm Shay. This is my sister Aria. And these are my kids Katelyn and Isaiah."

"Nice to meet you all," the two boys said in sync.

"Same to you," my sister and I replied in unison.

"This is our new house, you know," Katelyn said stating the obvious.

"I think he already knows that stupid," Isaiah said wising off to her.

"Hey! I'm not stupid, stupid!" Kaitlyn retorted pushing him.

"Uh huh," he argued pushing her back.

"Uh-uh!"

It went on like that for a little until Katelyn finally had the idea to tell.

"Mommy! Isaiah won't leave me alone!"

"Uh-uh!"

"Uh huh!"

We all laughed at the two. They always bickered like that.

"Okay, okay, okay. That's enough you two. I don't want to hear it anymore," Shay finally spoke up.

"But mommy!"

"Nope. I told you I don't want to hear it. Now apologize to your each other."

"Sorry," they mumbled at the same time then hugged.

"Good. Now keep quiet and behave." My sister ordered.

At that, the two didn't say anything. And it was kind of an awkward moment of silence for a few seconds until Jawan finally broke it.

"Do you guys need help?" he said pointing at the U-Haul.

I nodded and my sister replied with a yes. We all started taking the boxes inside the house.

About 20 minutes later, everything was in. I still didn't talk much to either of the boys. I was too nervous and let my sister do all of the talking.

"Thank you so much for the help boys," my sister said as we all walked back out to the U-Haul truck.

"No problem," Khalil said.

Jawan only nodded. I made eye contact with him and we briefly smiled at each other.

"Well, we should get going. I hope you enjoy the neighborhood. And I will see you around the school Aria," Khalil said to me.

"Okay," I said with a nod and smile.

Why isn't Jawan talking? The two boys turned around and walked back to their house. Then my sister and I went into ours.

"Those boys were nice. You like one?" Shay questioned leaning against the doorway of my new room.

I started opening a box. The truth is, yeah. I kind of do like Jawan. But I can't tell her that.

"Oh. No. They're, um, they're not my type," I responded examining a picture of my parents and I before they left.

"What do you mean by that? You have a type?" My sister questioned raising her eyebrow.

"Yes, I have a type. I like skaters. Guys who live carefree. Who doesn't live completely by the rules. You should know that," I said.

"I don't understand why. That's completely opposite of your nature, Aria. If someone lives carefree, what makes you think they would care about you?"

I didn't respond.

"But hey, what would I know."

I heard her walk away and I got up and closed the door. Then continued to unpack.
