𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟐

After I left the restaurant I went home to cook some food for me and dad, but I first stopped in a grocery store to buy some supplies. Mostly I order food, like McDonald's, fried fishes and stuff. I don't have time to cook for him, all he does all day is drinking with his friends and that's all, I don't wanna cook for this lazy ass, I don't even wanna spend my money on him. But I have to, if I don't it wouldn't end well for me. I came through the door with 2 McDonalds meals in my hands, when I walked in I saw my dad sleeping on the couch surrounded by beers, I slowly went towards him and try to wake him up. " Dad, dad, woke up cmon I have food. " I said to him "How many times I told you to not fucking wake me up" He groaned, I throw the food on the table and start eating "Didn't you hear what I just said" He yelled at me but I just ignored him, he came closer to me "don't ignore me you little shit," He said and punch me. I fell off the chair and went into my room, blasting the radio, because he was screaming at me and telling me how he never wanted me etc. But let me tell you how all this started.

Y/n's Backstory

My mom died when I was born and after that, my dad tried to be a good dad, he taught me how to fix cars and stuff. By my 9 birthday, everything got worse, first, he started drinking, every day more and more, when he was drunk he often yelled at me that he never wanted me, his it was all my fault that mom died and so on. Then there were days when he was drunk more than usual, he started being abusive. After like 6 or 8 months the drugs came in. All happened just in a year. I'm 16 now, so that's 5 years of living in hell, but I know this will never end, well until I move out, but I'm too young for that. I fall into depression. I taught of ending my life so many times, but I couldn't do it, I just said to myself "it will get better, I promise". When I was a kid I have school to go to, that's the only thing that saved me from being home, from not being beaten up every time, I went to school for 3 years, why only 3 years you ask? That's because my dad couldn't pay for school anymore, so I am homeschooled for 9 years, 9 years of fear, and this fear still lives. I don't have many friends, because I'm scared someone will found out. But gladly I met Kiara.

Back to the story :

I was laying in bed, with a pillow over my head so I couldn't hear him yelling, I soon fell asleep. I was woken up by a call on my phone I checked who it was, it was Kie "Hmmh, hey" I said with a sleepy voice "We're you sleeping" She asked, "Yea I was until you woke me up" I said sarcastically " Oh I'm sorry your majesty " She said laughed "Well I'm calling because of the Kregger, you still wanna come" She asked, "yes, of course, I told you I never missed a party but we have like 4 hours to it so.." I said " Ok ok just checking if ur still on it," She said "yes ofc," I said "well I have to go I am meeting with friends," She said "kk bye, see ya soon," I said and we hang up. "Ugh great, what do I do for 4 hours...I can go out" I said to myself. I got up from bed and changed my clothes and do my makeup for no reason at all.

When I was done I went into the kitchen and grab a beer from the fridge and walked to the door "where u going piece of shit" My dad called me "what do you care" I said and closed the door. I walked few blocks down the street and saw a group of teenagers around my age one of them looked like Kie I shout her name " YO, KIE IS THAT YOU! " I yelled and the girl turned aground "Yoo, y/n what are you doing here! " She came closer and I saw she was with 3 other boys "just on a lil walk, what bout you? " I asked " Oh just hanging out with these dorks," She said and put her arm around a boy with dark brown hair "wouldn't you introduce us to your good looking friend," The tall guy with blonde hair said and looks at me " Ohh yes, I'm sorry, guys this is y/n she is working as a waitress at my dad's restaurant, " She said, "y/n this is JJ " She pointed at handsome blonde guy "that's Pope " She continued and pointed at the dark-haired boy " And this is John B" She ended "Nice to meet ya," I said "Why the B in John B, tho? " I asked " My middle name is Booker Routledge so yea, that's the B" John B said " alright, " I said and took a sip of beer "y/n aren't you a lil too young for drinking," Pope said "no not really. " I said and smirked "Pope leave her alone, you know JJ drinks a lot too, well not just drinking a lil weed too right," Kie said and looked at JJ " You don't have to tell her everything Kie, her parents might be cops," JJ said " They are not," I said and looked down " Shit y/n ! What happened to your face" She said and touches it "Leave it" I winced "It's nothing, I just fell" I lied. That JJ guy looked at me weirdly "oh sorry, emm...wanna hang out? " She asked "if y'all agree then ok, I just don't wanna be on your way," I said "Y/n shut it they agree, right boys? " Kie asked her friends "Yea, she can stay she's cool," John B said "I have a perfect idea where we'll go," Kie said " If it's illegal I'm in," I said and they laughed "let's go to the Van," Pope said and we followed " That's a hella nice van, is this Groovy Volkswagen? " I asked "yes it is, you into cars," JJ asked " Yes my dad is a mechanic... well was" I answered " What's his name," Kie asked when we sat in the van " It doesn't matter. " I said and we ended this conversation. I looked over JJ, he looked at me thinking something I break the eye contact "does anyone have a cigarette" I asked Kie looked at me weirdly "Yes here" JJ said and searched his pockets. "No shit never mind I'm out" He groaned and I laughed "y/n I didn't know you smoke," Kie said surprised " You don't know a lot of things bout me sweetheart " I answered " Yo, can we stop at the store I need to get something, " I asked Pope who was driving " Yes sure " He answered. In 20 min we were near the store " Keep the engine running and stay here " I said, opened the door of the van, and hop out "y/n what are you doing! " Kie yelled after me " You'll see" I yelled back. I went into the store, looked aground for cigarette shelf I found one slipped 2 pack of cigs, and went out of the store. But I didn't saw the cop was there "HEY YOU GET BACK HERE!" he run after me yelling as soon as I saw him I started running " Y/N STOP RUNNING" he yelled " Ohh hey Brendon it's you, how you doing" I said still running.

Kie's pov :

Y/n hopped out of the van " Keep the engine runnin' " She said and went into the store " She seems fun" John B said all of a sudden "Yea she's dope" I answered " She has this wild adventurous spirit, I like it" JJ said " She seems like trouble " Pope said "So was I Pope, but you still hang out with me" JJ added " Yes, but I got used to it " Pope snapped back "Guys stop it, and Pope I'm sure you will get used to it as you did with JJ" I added " Yea like she will become one of us" He said " Pope sorry to let you down but it's 3 against one buddy" John B said " You guys don't even know her, we just met her! " Pope said " So how do you know she's a bad person," I said " fine she's with us," Pope said " YES LET'S GO, " I said "Guys... Do you hear yelling" JJ asked suddenly, we all went quiet "Ohh hey Brendon it's you, how ya doing" We heard y/n saying for a moment it was quiet " Start the van, start the van! " Y/n yelled. JJ who was at the door, quickly opened them and we saw Y/n running away from the cop " You were faster yesterday, Brendon " She teased the cop I looked over JJ he had this huge impressed smile on him, he doesn't smile often these days, I don't know why. " Stop running" Brendon guy yelled after y/n

Back to y/n pov :

I was almost at the van, "Start the engine!!" I yelled to Pope hoping he would hear me. He did he started the engine and the van door opened, I jumped into the van breathing heavily and JJ closed the door "What are you waiting for Pope go, go, go" I said laughing. I was laying on the floor of the van "what a hell was that all about" Kie asked worried "oh just an old friend " I joked "No but really what did you do y/n " John B asked "oh nothing just" I made a pause "needed to get those angels" I said and dramatically pulled out 2 pack of cigarettes " Omg you stole cigarettes! " Kie said "No, no, no they deal it for free, of course, I stole them, I'm 16 men no one will let me buy cigs" I joked "Here this is for you," I said giving one pack go JJ "I owe you," He said smiling "Nah it's just a friend gift " I smiled "Yo y/n..we was wondering. " Kie started talking " Do you wanna be part of our group? " She asked "What group," I asked " We are The Pogues, " John B said " Explain that," I said not getting the point " He started talking "well we are practically the lowest member of the food chain. We are ignored and neglected, but at the same time, it is nice being ignored and neglected, because we can do whatever we wanted whenever we want. " He explains " Ok sounds fun," I said " I've never seen you aground so I taught you aren't from here" John B explains himself " So you in or not," Pope asked " Please y/n I can't stand being the only girl here, they are so gross" Kie groaned "Fine, I'm in, " I said and they smiled. "It's just... We just met and you don't know me good" I started " So we'll get to know you better, and you'll get to know us, no biggie plus I already like you. I mean we like you" JJ said "haha ok fine, so what do we do now? " I asked "Let's go to old turtle habitat," Kie said " Isn't that a Kook house now? " Pope asked " Yes but they are building it so no one lives there," Kie said back " But we aren't supposed to be there it's closed. " Kie continued " Awh cmon who cares " "I'm in let's go," I said " Ah you're right fuck the rules, " Kie said and looked at me " But first, I have to ask if you need anything from the store. " I said asked sarcastically, they all laughed " Yes sure, beer will be ok. " JJ said " Ok be right back," I said and opened the door "No I was kidding, come back idiot" He laughed "Yes I'm not going don't worry, plus if I went Brendon the cop will get me," I said and smiled " Ok ok lovebirds let's go to the turtle habitat," Kie said "Don't say that we just met a man," I said and slightly blush "That doesn't mean it couldn't happen in the future" John B added "Dude, he obviously has a girlfriend and as he said, we just met," I said to John B " He doesn't have a girlfriend" JJ added " Oh sorry, my bad," I said " But he does random hook ups if you're interested " Pope joked " Nahh, if he'll give me free weed, then I'll be interested, " I said " I do," JJ said and pull the weed out of his pocket and made joint " Does he know that Joking means," I asked " Oh don't tell me you don't want it," He said and passed me the joint " I never said that I don't," I said and grab it. " Y/n no, that's bad first impressions " Kie joked " You choose me to be part of this friend group, now deal with consequences," I said and everybody laughed " But for real tho" Kie said, pull joint out off my mouth and throw it through the window " That was a perfectly good weed! "I and JJ said at the same time "I Ship It," Pope said to John B silently "Same here" John B agreed " Yo that reminds me" JB started " Pogues have some rules," He said " I'm all ears," I said " No pogue on pogue mackin'," He said " Fine. " I said " But just so you know, I love breaking the rules. " I said and wink at JJ (in a joking way) " Ok second rule is Never left Pogue behind, so that means whatever happened, we go down together. " John B lastly said " Sounds fair," I said and make myself comfortable on the floor of the van "y/n do you want a beer," Kie asked " Do you even have to ask, just pass it," I said " Not gonna happened sweetheart, you drank like 3 today " She teased me " It was 2,5 because the one was small" I joked " Whatever you say, drunk ass" She smiled.
