Everything was going great than Oikawa showed up. He ruined your life back in your home town, then found you again after you had moved. And once again in a new town Oikawa had somehow managed to find you, this time even closer, working together.

You would have to see him every single day. Not the ideal situation.

But you are not a quitter. You are a strong and capable woman, you worked hard for the job you got and you were not going to let a stupid, idiotic, manipulative man (if you could even call him that) take that away from you.

I'm getting rid of that fucker.

You walked into the revolving doors at the front of the giant office building.

You sat down at your desks and began scanning Mr. Ushijimas weekly schedule.

Picking up your papers you scurried to Mr. Ushijimas office to discuss his schedule. Everyday you went over his daily schedule and made sure it was planned to the perfection. Ushijima was a man of strict rule following and perfection.

You opened the office door to Mr. Ushijima's office to him talking to someone.

"Ah y/n! Just the girl we were talking about" said Oikawa with a cocky grin.

"Good Morning Mr. Ushijima" you say smiling placing the papers on the desk in-front of you.

"No good morning to me?" Pouted the self centered prick

"Morning" you reply immediately dropping your smile.

"Oikawa and I were just discussing this situation... We want to make sure that there will be no problems between the two of you due to you *hehmm* history" Your boss said.

"There will be no problems sir" you say bowing

"Good, Oikawa leave. Y/n I have work to do" he said shooing off the tall brunette boy while reaching for the papers you had set on his desk earlier.

After Oikawa left you began de briefing your boss on his daily schedule.

"12:00 you have a meeting with the CFO of Media Market Place, 1:45 you have a presentation and at 3:00 there is a video call you have to join" you say scanning over your paper.

"Thank you y/n, can you check when the banquet is?" Said Ushijima

"Hmm... it's this Friday at 8pm at the Hilton"

"Ah yes, you will be attending that"

"Umm sir-"

"That wasn't a question. You may also invite your boyfriend if you would like" he said sighing.

"Oh- okay, thank you sir, I'll be going now"

It was now Friday, the day of the banquet.

"Rinno we have to hurry! I can't be late" you say putting on your dress. It was a short black dress and you matched it with black heels. Rintarou was wearing a black suite with matching shiny black dress shoes.

"I know I'm coming" he yelled grabbing your jacket.

"Wow you look handsome" you say fixing his tie so it was centered.

"Thank you kitten, you look gorgeous" he said placing a kiss on your forehead.

Outside there was a town car waiting for the two of you, the company had ordered it for the two of you.

"Rin, you have to promise not to say anything to Oikawa" you say as the two of you got into the car.

"Yeah i know, he just has such a punchable face"

"Rinnnn"

"Sorry sorry" he said grinning.

Soon enough you pulled up to the hotel. Once you got out you cling onto Rintarou's arm. There were so many people entering the hotel to the banquet.

I didn't know there would be so many people

You entered the banquet hall and there were many people socializing and sitting at round tables.

"Let's look for our name on the table" you say scanning over the tables.

"Oh I found them!" You say pointing a table

The table had you, Rin, Mr. Ushijima and Oikawa.

Great.

So far it was just you and Rintarou at the table, it's not like you knew anyone else there. You patiently sat at the table chatting with Rin and sipping your champagne.

"Oh look my favorite assistant is here" said an unfortunately recognizable voice said.

"Oikawa can't you just sit at a different table" you say turning to the tall brown haired boy.

"Nah I'm going to stay here" he said smiling pulling out his chair, "hello Suna, how are you" he said with a cunning smile.

"I was doing great till you showed up" Rin replied bringing his glass to his mouth.

"That's no way to treat a friend" Oikawa pouted.

"Y/n I'm glad you could make it" said a deep voice.

"Oh! Mr. Ushijima, thank you so much for inviting me" you say shaking his hand.

"Not a problem at all, Suna, it's been a while" Ushijima said turning to Rintarou shaking his hand.

"It has been" replied Rintarou smiling through the pain.

This is going to be a long dinner.
