This is another Callen's sister request by@ThomasNewt22

"What did I say?"

"You told me to behave."

"And what did you do?"

"The exact opposite."

G gives me an exasperated look through the bars. Behind him, Kensi looks amused and Sam looked like he was trying to figure out if he was disappointed or amused.

"Are you just going to scold me or are you going to let me out? I really need pee."

G sighs through his nose and shakes his head but smiles nonetheless. "You're lucky Hetty likes you."

I stand as the officer standing nearby unlocks the cell door.

"What were you thinking?" G asks. "Did you really need to start that bar fight?"

"You didn't hear what the guy said to me," I fire back.

"What did he say?"

"'What are you going to do? Hit me?'" I mimic and Kensi laughs. Sam chuckles, shaking his head.

"You're such a pain in the ass," G says.

"But I'm your pain in the ass," I counter.

G mumbles something under his breath as I follow my team down the hallway. After stopping to use the toilet, I climb into the car with Kensi and we pull out of the police station. Kensi follows the boys to work and we joke back and forth.

"I can't slow it down," G says in my ear piece as Kensi and I clear the area.

"What do you mean you can't slow it down?" I ask, panic rising in my stomach.

"They cut the brakes," G says and I share a frantic look with Kensi.

"Sam will disarm the bomb and then you can just wait until the fuel runs out," I say.

"I can't disarm it," Sam says quietly. "It's too complicated."

"We can figure something out," I say frantically as the last person was evacuated. "How much time do we have?"

"Not enough," Sam says.

"How much time do we have?!" I yell.

"2 minutes 50 and counting," Sam says.

"There has to be something!" I try.

"There is one thing but there's no guarantee," Sam says.

"It's better than nothing," G says.

"What is it?" I ask. There's a long silence. "Please tell me."

"Hey bugsy," G says several long moments later and I see the ambulance appear down the road. The childhood nickname had me choking on a sob.

"Yes, juvie," I say.

"Never forget that I love you."

"Don't say that," I sob. "G whatever you're going to do, don't do it."

"Stay safe," he tells me. "Kensi, don't let her do anything stupid."

"Tell my family I love them," Sam says.

"No," Kensi says, sobbing. "You're just going to have to do that yourself."

I watch it terror as the ambulance makes straight for the bay.

"G, no!" I yell.

The vehicle goes over the edge and I'm running for it before it hits the water. Kensi yells after me and tackles me into the grass. I prop myself up, Kensi putting all of her weight on me, and we watch as the back of the ambulance disappears into the water.

"NO!" I scream.

I couldn't seem to breathe as the seconds wear on, waiting for the bomb to go off. When a long minute passes, I manage to suck in a breath. But when the pair don't break the surface, I become more panicked.

I struggle to stand under Kensi's weight and she stands. I scramble to my feet and rush to the edge of the bank. I was about to dive in when I hear something to my left. My eyes shoot to where G and Sam were breaking the surface.

"G!"

Sam was trying to keep my brothers limp body afloat, exhaustion clearly weighing him down. I start running along the bank as Sam disappears under the water for several long seconds before appearing again.

When I was as close as I could get to them, I dive into the bay and I'm beside them in moments. I couldn't tell if G was breathing or not but I knew I couldn't think about that. I just had to help Sam get him to shore. With pure adrenaline rushing through my veins, I help to pull G to where Kensi was waiting on shore. I clung to the wall that held the dirt of the shore in place, holding G with my other arm, as Kensi helped Sam up. Then the pair of them pulled my brother up. Kensi helps me up as Sam checks G. I hear the faint sirens of an ambulance as I sob beside G's too still body.

"He has a heart beat," Sam says, his fingers pressed to G's wrist.

"Oh thank God," I breathe.

"It's very faint," Sam says.

"He'll make it," I whisper. "He has to."

I was keenly aware of the hours that passed. Time seemed to pass in a blur of movement and panic, but I was aware of every breath I took and how shallow G's were.

Once we had reached the hospital and both Sam and G had been whisked away, Kensi had immediately collapsed into a chair in the waiting room with a deep sigh. I begin pacing the room, unable to keep still. Kensi calls my name once but I didn't respond. She didn't push it any more, instead watching me in silence.

Eventually the adrenaline wore off and I crumpled into the seat beside Kensi. I rested my head against the wall behind me and relaxed into the seat. Now that the adrenaline had disappeared, I felt exhausted and I fell into an uneasy sleep.
