Annually, there is a Yu-Gi-Oh! tournament for students from schools around the world. This was the 12th time Utopino High School has held this kind of contest, but it was the first time students in other schools could participate. That year, over 2000 students took part in, but only one could be the winner.

Through hard work and preserverance, two competitors went to the final. Only one duel was required for the declaration of winner, which meant that if a duelist made a mistake, even the smallest one, he might never have a chance to win the tournament. Consequently, both duelists had to be extremely careful in each move.

This final round was watched by a numerous of people worldwide, especially students in Otonokizaka High School and Luxiano Secondary School, which both had one student being in. Even the old students of these schools, including legendary μ's, were attracted by the game.

The candidate who was learning in Otonokizaka was Mayuko Shimizu, a first-year student. Beside dueling, Mayuko was also a member of a school idol group, so she made friends with some μ's members to get experience of becoming an idol. Therefore, Maki Nishikino, Honoka Kousaka and Kotori Minami came to the duel watching area to support Mayuko. Meanwhile, the other competitor was Yukinori Shimizu, a third-year student of Luxiano and also the only Mayuko's biological brother.

During the tournament, Yukinori's road to the final round was full of difficulties. He had to deal with a lot of powerful competitors, including the champion and the runner-up of the previous competition in the quarter-final and the semi-final respectively. Nevertheless, Mayuko only had to play with easier opponents, and the results were always the same - she won.

The MC announced that Yukinori would take the first turn. Both players drew 5 cards.

Without any actions, Yukinori announced "I end my turn." That shocked the audiences.

Generally, if a player takes the first turn in a Yu-Gi-Oh! game, he may have a huge advantage because he can push his own combo to lockdown the field so that every move of the second player may be intercepted with traps, handtraps, quick-play spells and monster effects. Unfortunately, the starting hand he drew is a brick, in another meaning, he couldn't play any cards.

Mayuko began her first turn. She drew. Unlike Yukinori's starting hand, her new hand was so perfect that she can open her combo. As a result, after some moves, she completed her turn with 2500 points substracted from Yukinori's LP.

Mayuko's field was so powerful, and if Yukinori has no solution for this, he may lose. 5500 LP wasn't too low, but with a brick hand he might lose it very quickly.

"Yukinori-kun, do something! You are going to lose the duel!", some of his supporters shouted, from the watching area. He had to draw a card. Another unplayable one.

Soon, his cheerers were disappointed because of his answer: "I can't do anything other than ending my turn." He couldn't surrender as the rule of the competition didn't allow any duelist to forfeit during the first 5 turns of the duel. And as expected, he lost the game during Mayuko's second turn, without playing any cards.

What a humiliating defeat.
