Dream POV

The day was.. odd

When I say it was, it was very very odd. I planned to go out early today as I haven't the cave of my room for the past week...month...months? Needless to say, staying inside with just my roommates Sapnap and George were not good enough for my extroverted needs.

I took a shower threw on some black joggers and a light sweater and shouted out to my roommates,

"Be back in a bit!"

which only got reciprocated by silence... which was strange already, Sapnap at least usually wakes up earlier than me, though it is like 6 in the morning. Brushing that off I grabbed my train card and walked out of the house, the air was foggy and cold, much different than what the forecast had said the night before. I rushed to the warm underground railways, not once did I see anyone, no cars, no busses, no pta moms out on a morning jog... it was completely empty. It's not like I live in the most populated part of the city but I still expected to see someone.

The ride on the tube ( idk im not british...) was excruciatingly empty. The metal seats cold as hell so I stood up peering down the windows connecting the two cars,

this is so strange.. where the hell is everyone..?

My eyes unfocused and blurry still staring down the other empty train car which was arguably a whole lot more interesting than the flashes of the black tunnel or my phone..

OH COME ON! Of course I forgot my phone

Taking my eyes to my pant pockets I shuffle around through the different slots looking for that last hope but still met with absolutely nothing but a strawberry cough drop and a twenty dollar bill... fun.

A monotone voice snaps me out of my thoughts,

"Northern and Waterloo and City Lines, and National Rail Services. This train terminates at Stanmore" (reference anyone??)

The car came to a stop as the train doors open to an empty rail station, the busiest line in London.. completely empty.. and on a Friday. I walk out of the car with my hands in my pockets and look around for any sign of life, even maybe a tube bird. From the corner of my eyes I swear I saw a flash of something coming out of the train car I was next to, the one I saw was completely empty, or maybe I was just desperate to see something.

Walking into town, the air somehow colder than it was closer to our home, the fog thick and covering the top halves of the tall tan buildings. The reason I've even came to Europe, not only because George had a house ready for us, or that the states were too stuffy, or for videos, but were simply to move to London. I have only heard amazing things from others about here but I so desperately needed to see things and go out somewhere.

As I walked through the city streets I realize my suspicions were true, this place was truly empty. Closed stores or moving cars, I saw while mindlessly ambling around turning a corner while walking in the middle of the road I finally saw light. Walking closer to the light it looked warm and comfortable; it came from a small building under a bunch of old apartment buildings, the small shop was selling coffee, the plain white signs showing the varieties of drinks that they sold. With desperation of getting out of the cold I escape to the comfy shop.
