Chapter 15

~Adrien POV~

It had been almost two hours after Marinette fainted into my arms.
As soon as she was unconscious I went to the hospital.

I'm here for a long time and no doctor informed me of her condition.
I'm worried and so scared she was bleeding and that can mean only one thing

Miscarriage...

I don't know what I'll do if our little kitten won't make it.
A thousand things go through my head right now.

What if this is truly a miscarriage and our baby is dead. Marinette ran away with me for nothing.

Or what if she wasn't pregnant and that was just her period. No it couldn't be...

Or what if there is something wrong with Marinette.

Or what if Marinette won't make it. If she doesn't make it then I'll lose everything, everything that i love, everything that I care about.

Or what if-

" Hello are you here for Marinette Dupain-Cheng ? " a nurse asked.

" Y-yes. Is she ok?" I said and stood up.

" You must be her boyfriend." She said looking at me up and down.

" Yes." Just told me if she is alright, please let her be alright.

" Come with me " she said and started walking

I followed close behind. She stopped in front of a room.

" She is in this room. We give her some medicine and she is probably sleeping. So be quite and don't wake her up, she needs rest." She said looking through some papers on her clipboard.

" I won't wake her up but is she ok?" I said ready to enter the room to see m'lady.

" Don't worry she is fine for now" she said putting a hand on my shoulder and smiling at me.

" Thank you!" I said smiling at her back. I'm so happy now knowing that she is ok.

" Informe us when she wakes up so a doctor can talk with you two. " She said looking a little sad at me.

" All right,thank you again" with that I entered the room to see my princess on the bed, sleep and being hooked up to some kind of machines.

I sighed and got closer to her.
She was so beautiful, she was sleeping soundly without a worry.

I smiled at her and kissed her forehead. She moved a little bit and opened her eyes a little.
She looked at me, smiled, made room for me in the bed and opened her arms for me.

I got into bed and hugged her close to me, putting her head on my chest. She hummed softly and closed her eyes.
I watched her fall back asleep and soon after I fell asleep as well.

I woke up to the sun shining right into my eyes.
I looked around and instantly remembered where I am.
I sighed and looked at my princess, she was still sleeping soundly so i got quietly out of bed and went to the bathroom.

Once back into the hospital room i noticed that m'lady was awake.

" Good morning beautiful" i said kissing her and stroking her back.

" Mhm... morning" she said rubbing her eyes.

" Did you sleep well" i asked.

" Yeah you were so warm and cozy" she said putting her head on my lap.

I smiled at her and leaned down for another kiss but a knock on the door interrupted it.

" Who can it be?" Marinette asked standing up.

The door opened and a doctor entered the room.

" Oh you're awake, good morning " the doctor said looking at us.

" Good morning " Marinette said taking my hand into hers. She was nervous.

"It's ok I'm here" i whisper in her ear. Her respond was a quick smile and a nod.

" You must be wandering what happened to you" she said looking through her clipboard. We nodded, waiting for her to continue.

" Well I have good news and bad news" she said.

" Can we hear the good news first" i asked, looking at m'lady i could see that she was freaking out. I tighten my hand around hers and listen to the doctor.

" The good news is that the baby is fine, healthy and out of any danger, at least for now, " she said and looked at her clipboard again.
" And you, miss, you are in good health " she said this time looking at us.

I sighed in relief, things are going good after all.

" Then what are the bad news?" Marinette asked. I completely forgot about that but what can be the bad news if everything is ok.
I'm sure nothing is really bad if the pregnancy is going well.

" Sigh well...." The doctor sighed looking sadly at us.

" It seems that your body is not ready to have a baby yet, it's weak and young but with the right diet and without any physical exercises, you have to rest a lot, the pregnancy can be normal." She said reading from her clipboard.
I can't believe it...

" The true bad news is that you can die at childbirth or your baby can die or even both of you can die. The best solution, from my point of view, is that you should have an abortion and have a baby when you are older. " She said looking at us.

After the doctor said that Marinette buried her face into her hands and started crying.
And me ... I was petrified. I can't lose them... I can't even think of a word without them. Even if I haven't meet my child yet I already love it.
I need them and they need me.

~Marinette POV~

I can't believe it...no this has to be a nightmare.

I looked at the doctor trying to say something but nothing came out.

" From my calculations there is a 25% that you will die, 25% that your baby will die, 43% that both of you will die and 7% that everything will be fine and you will have a beautiful family" she said looking at us.
" Now what is your decision" she asked

" I-i ...We-we.." i tried to speak but I just started stuttering.

" I have an appointment so I'll give you time to think. I'll be back in about an hour" she said leaving the room.

Silence was the only thing I could hear. I turned around to look at Adrien and he was completely devastated. He looked at me as well.
Then he wrapped his arms around my body, hugging me and burying his head into my neck. I got a little surprised from his sudden movement but I hugged him back immediately.

" I want this child to be born, it our kitten" i said burying my face in his neck.

" I want to but I'm scared. I can't lose any of you and if I lose both of you..... I can't even think about that " he said hugging me tighter.

We talked and we talked until we finally made a decision.
Right after our decision was made the doctor entered the room.

" So did you two talk about it?" She asked giving us a little smile.

" Yes we did " said Adrien taking my hand in his.

" So what is it ?" She asked getting a pen out ready to write on her clipboard.

" We are keeping our baby " we said together.
We are ready for the challenges. This family is going to be completed and no one will pass away.
