Chapter 22

~Adrien POV~

I was freaking out. We arrived at the hospital in less than 10 minutes.
Marinette's contractions were really bad, she was in a lot of pain and i feel so bad for my princess.

Once in the hospital a nurse helped us and guided us to a room where Emma will be born.
And not long after that a doctor entered the room to check on Marinette's condition.

" Well Mrs Agreste it looks like you are 2 cm dilated so it will take some time before you can push" the doctor said taking off her gloves.

Marinette looked at the doctor wanting to say something but right as she opened her mouth to speak another contraction hit her. She hissed in pain and the doctor looked at her.

" You know if the contractions are bad we can give you an epidural, you won't feel any pain after" she said putting a hand on Marinette's shoulder.

" Y-yes please..!" Marinette said with hopeful eyes.

" All right I'll be back in about 15 minutes and you mr Agreste stay close to your wife and comfort her" the doctor says looking at me.
With that she exited the room.

" Are you ok?" I asked taking her hand in mine.

" Adrien...with all my love for you ...what kind of questions is that? I'm going to push a fucking child out of my vagina and you think I'm ok?" She said looking at me like I was an idiot.

" Right I'm sorry" i said looking down. She is going through so much pain i hope we'll get over this fast.

" No...I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be rude I'm just in so much pain..." She said closing her eyes, leaning back on the hospital bed.

" It's ok m'lady, I'm here for you. Let's just hope everything will be fine" i said kissing her forehead.

" Y-yeah.." another contraction hit her. She is a strong woman i know she can do it, i just hope I won't the ones I love the most. Maybe tomorrow we'll be home with Marinette and Emma, everything will be fine and we'll be a happy family.

Not long after our little conversation the doctor came back.

" Hello again. Now let's make this quick, please get up and take off your hospital clothes so you can have all of your back free. " She said and Marinette did exactly as she was told.

" I'm going to inject this into your spine and after that you won't feel any pain" she said smiling at us.

The doctor injected the substance into my princess's back with that the doctor asked if we needed anything and i said no.

" Good. If there are any problems please call for a nurse" the doctor said that and exited the room.
Now I'm just me and m'lady in the room again.

" Do you feel better now?" I asked petting her head.

" Not really i think it will take some minutes to take away the pain and for me to not feel anything..." She said looking at me with tired eyes.
" Can you gently rub my belly kitty? I don't have any energy in me"

" Of course anything for you, my love" i said starting to rub her big pregnant belly.

A few minutes had passed and i could see Marinette finally relaxing.

" Did the epidural worked?" I asked, still gently rubbing belly.

" Yeah...i can't really fell my legs but I don't feel any pain so I'm good" she said giving me a tired smile.

" You should sleep m'lady. You will have to push Emma out in a few hours, hopefully" i said coming up to her putting the blanket on her.

" Yeah...I'm so tired i can barely keep my eyes open" she said and closed her eyes.
