C A S S I E

Luke and I have very little control over what happens inside our bedroom. Most nights, our cuddling to sleep turns to something way hotter.

Just tonight: we're having sex again, and it started because I teased him first, greeting him with my new sexy chemise when he came out of the bathroom after taking a shower.

I couldn't help it. It seemed that his day at work was mentally tiring, and all I wanted was to hold him, only there was too much improvisation on my side.

In an instant, my new chemise was gone from my body.

"Luke," I moan as he fucks me, my legs dangling off the edge of the bed, my back on the mattress while he stands in front of me. "I-I'm coming." My voice is shaking.

I'm twisting, feeling my orgasm approaching. It's too much. He keeps thrusting into me, hitting the right spot over and over again.

The effect he has on my body is extremely powerful.

Tears of pleasure slide down from the corners of my eyes. Luke watches me with desire burning in his hazels, his jaw tight, sweat dripping from his upper chest onto his perfect abs.

I let out a loud moan of his name when his hand puts more pressure on my clit, rubbing it in a circular motion as my orgasm takes over me, his other hand teasing my nipple.

"Fuck, Cassie," he rasps, slowing down his pace, enjoying my clenched walls around him. "You're so beautiful..."

Meanwhile, I'm too high to comprehend the rest of his words, which sound like dirty talk. I'm seeing stars, my body exploding with pleasure as I cry.

Our steamy session continues as Luke fucks me again on the bed. This time, I'm sitting on him, my back against his chest as he leans his back against the headboard.

My body trembles as Luke keeps flicking my clit while fucking me in this position. He pulls me closer to his chest, hugging me from behind.

If I look down, I can see how he thrusts into me, and that sight arouses me even more.

"You feel good?" he rasps, his breath hot on my ear, sending more shivers down my spine. He runs his tongue on my earlobe, and I feel like exploding again because he attacks me in all the sensitive spots on my body.

With his tongue now in my ear, his finger on my clit and his big and hard cock inside me, I don't think that I can hold my orgasm anymore.

"Luke," I whimper as his deep thrusts make me go crazier.

"Come for me again," he whispers. "Wet my cock, yeah?"

And I do as I'm told, like a good girl. Luke pushes into me even deeper and stays like that for a while, my walls tightening around him.

He tightens his hold on me and groans, emptying inside me.

By the time we really cuddle to sleep, I find myself snuggling into his bare chest, his arms wrapping around me.

A soft smile tugs at my lips. Again, I feel so contented, so peaceful as I lie here with him.

He kisses my forehead, and I close my eyes, enjoying his tender touch.

"How was your call today with your team?" he asks.

Even though I told Luke earlier how excited I was about my new song reaching first place on the Billboard chart, I still haven't given him the details.

"Everything feels like magic," I say. "I never thought that my new song would blow up like this. I mean, I had faith in it, but this milestone is just unbelievable." I sigh. "Oscar even told me that it's indeed nominated for the best song of the year for the upcoming Golden Music Awards. Like, it's now officially nominated."

Luke's eyes are glinting with the same happiness. "You deserve it."

From the tone of his voice, I can hear how proud he is of me.

"This accomplishment has made me more confident about myself, you know," I say, thinking about Morgan, about how she always told me that it was all because of her that I reached the top, that I wasn't as talented as I thought.

"You should have believed in yourself more."

"This is still overwhelming for me." I say. "I feel like I'm a baby who just learned how to walk all over again."

"Life threw you surprises," Luke says. "When you face too many hardships, you'd be surprised what you can learn about yourself."

He speaks like he has had that kind of moment too, and I know that he has. The story that Ms. Langston told me is still fresh in my mind.

Silence fills the air before I start talking again. "Since I've been taking a break from the spotlight for a while, thinking about attending an upcoming award makes me slightly nervous."

My mind wanders to the event, which will be filled with other celebrities and reporters.

Now that I think about it, this is the first time that I'll be attending a big public event since I became Luke's wife.

Things are different now.

"Will you go with me?" I look up at him.

"Of course." He pecks my lips. "It's an honor for me to be there with you."

I giggle. "Have you been to a red carpet? Or this kind of event before?"

Luke shakes his head.

"Nah. No. Never." He scoffs. "I guess that I should get used to it, shouldn't I? Like, having small talk with other celebrities, being interviewed by the host and taking pictures on the red carpet." He rolls his eyes.

I laugh, knowing that all of those things are far from Luke's image.

"I see that you prefer having a conversation with your business partners," I say, making him raise his eyebrows. "Or politicians."

"In a heartbeat," he deadpans, making me laugh harder.

I kiss his lips tenderly, cupping his cheeks. Even though our worlds are different, we are slowly getting into each other's.

When we pull away, he stares at me with so much intensity that it makes my breath catch in my throat.

"I'll always be there for you, Cassie," he whispers, a small smile touching his lips. "I'm your husband."

I smile at him too, feeling lots of warmth in my heart. I can't detect any lies from the way he said those words.

"About that..." I falter. "Now that I think about our contract—"

"There is no such thing anymore," he cuts me off, his thumb brushing against my cheek as he looks at me tenderly. "We are the real thing, Cassie. The contract is dumb. We are real husband and wife. This is our home. Don't you think so?" His voice is so soft.

Another smile creeps on my lips, while my vision starts to get blurry with tears of joy, which he then wipes away.

"I've never felt so close to home," I whisper, my voice hoarse.

Is it really happening? Have I finally found my happiness? Have I finally found my home?

Luke is my home.

He tucks a strand of my hair behind my ear. "Stay here. With me. With Aiden. We belong together, and nothing can change that. We don't have to pretend in front of the world, because there's nothing to pretend. It is what it is."

I lean closer to him, burying my face into his neck as he tightens his hold on me.

"I'm just...so happy." I sniff. "I'm so happy, Luke."

Luke combs my hair with his fingers and pecks my forehead. "You deserve every bit of it."
