After Ginny and I schemed for Ron and Hermione to kiss again, we decided that our main mission was accomplished at it was time to go to bed. I kept touching my hickey like I was checking if it was still there, but only when I was in the bathroom, I could see it. He left a pink and purple bruise, which was seen very clearly; that kind of bruise would require some skill.

The girls pulled me out of my train of thought by asking about Lupin.

"Oh don't take it so seriously. He was just always so kind and understanding helped me with my studies and gave me chocolate. He was so mature and wise compared to all the other boys. I felt special with him but knew nothing could be between us, so I just kept it to myself. When he left, I slowly got over it, though I gotta admit if Sirius was our teacher..." I started to giggle.

"Y/n!" said Hermione, reddening in the face.

"I AM kidding"

I had to turn everything into a joke, seeing how tense the girls were. That cleared some air between us, but I didn't want to tell them everything.

The next day everyone seemed more eager to spent time with each other like yesterday opened them new angles of each other they didn't know about. After breakfast everyone left a house for Quidditch practice, even Hermione went to watch, but I decided to stay and read a book inside. This seemed to greatly offend the twins, but they all left, and I finally was on my own. It was an unusual sight for me since I was more on the trouble-maker side most of the time. However, it wasn't just some book, it was father's Defence Against the Dark Arts book, marked by him with notes and extra spells and other notes. This was gold, especially in these troubled times.

The house filled up with the sound I never thought I would hear here – silence.

I was peacefully sitting at the kitchen table with one knee bend on the chair, which might look weird but was the most comfortable for me. I made me coffee, but I was barely looking at it, so possessed by the book, I took a sip once in a while. It felt great to just sit and read, I was at peace. I heard some noise from the door, but I haven't seen anyone behind the glass window it had, so I continued to read.

I took the cup of coffee to take another sip but suddenly it flinched, and I spilled hot coffee all over myself. Felt like some invisible force but the cup upside down, but no one was in sight. I put down the book and run upstairs to take the stained shirt off as soon as possible. I run into the empty room and began to undress. I was looking for a different shirt to wear, walking around the room in my bra, and I heard someone's voice behind the door.

"What are you two doing here?" said the voice that sounded like Bill's.

I turned to look at the door and saw that I didn't close it properly and there was a tiny bit of room left.

"Nothing" I heard twins' voices respond to Bill in unison.

I put on the first shirt I found and left the room to see what was going on, but all I saw is three tall redheaded backs coming downstairs. I followed as I was already dressed. When I came back to the kitchen, the twins were leaving the room to go back outside, and Bill was standing with his back to me and making tea.

"Hi, Bill,"

"Hey Y/n," he turned around, "you alright?"

"Yeah, why?"

"I know my brothers sometimes can be a handful, but they mean well... most of the times," Bill smiled to himself.

"Yeah," I said, not much bothered by the twins' mishap, since Bill was very quick to shoo them away.

It was like he knew exactly when he needed me, but what if I needed more...

I sat down at the table to resume the reading and stretched my hand to pick up the book. However, just as I reached it, it jumped away; I tried to pick it up again, but it only jumped further away. I began chasing my own book, without a better plan on how to catch it. Bill began to laugh as I run in circles around the room; I thought I heard few giggles from outside too.

"Ha-ha very funny, I'll see how you react when your belongings will flee from you"

Bill took out his wand and muttered something pointing at the book and it stopped at once.

"Thank you."

We sat at the table in unison, he was drinking his tea, I resumed reading. However, for some reason, I couldn't make a sense of words in the book. I kept rereading the page again and again, but it all blurred in my mind because all could think of was Bill, sitting right next to me. How he helped me with twins, so calmly and confidently. His presence made me feel safe and unease at the same time, which I didn't think was possible. As if he heard my thoughts, he stood up ready to leave the room.

"Oh, by the way, take this," he pulled out a small glass bottle from the inside of his jacket, "if your nightmares get worse."

"What is it?"

"It's a potion for dreamless sleep."

He didn't have to explain further. I understood exactly why he would give it to me, and it surprised me. Does that mean he thought of me when he was away?

"Thank you."

He left without another word, and I wondered what was on his mind.

The following days were filled with racing competitions across the corridors, late-night talks, and stuffing ourselves with sweets, but no Bill in sight. He left early morning and came back late at night as far as I knew.

Everyone was hanging out in Ron and Harry's room, but I didn't feel like it. It took a lot of convincing to not drag me down with them, but they finally gave up. I was laying on the bed in the empty dark room, staring at the ceiling when I heard a loud crack.

"Who is this," I asked into the dark, switching into the sitting position on the bed.

"It's just us, love," said Fred's voice in the dark.
