The Void

The darkness was all around, it seemed like there was nothing for miles. I didn't want to run around to see if I could escape because I felt that would be pointless.

"Hello!?" I yelled out into the void.

Nobody responded. I could hear my echo throughout the void.

I saw a person far back in the void. I ran up to see if it was a mirage or someone else is here.

I've never seen anyone who looks like this. This guy has white hair with a yellow lightning bolt streak.

Is he part of the family I've never met? He didn't look anything like me besides the lightning bolt.

"Who are you?" I asked, politely.

"I am your imagination." He told me in a ghosty tone.

I don't believe him, I have to think of something to imagine it, don't I?

"You're smarter than you think aren't you?" The guy asked.

"What're you talking about?" I replied.

"I can read your mind because I chose you. I saw the desperation for your sister and your past and decided you will be the one I mentor."

"How can I trust you?"

"I'm in your mind, aren't I?"

"W-What do you mean mentor?"

"I'm going to teach you, I guess I thought you were a lot smarter than you are." He told me, scoffing.

That hurt, people always call me dumb and I'm unable to be smart for just one person. I'm still a disappointment.

"A-Alright, how are you going to teach me?"

The void turned into a room, looked a lot like the UA training grounds, but I guess that makes sense because I've been there many times. It would be easier to create.

"Stop thinking so negative! I can't take it anymore. Jeez kid, what happened to you?"

"Everything."

My heart dropped as I said that.

"What's your name anyway?" I asked him.

"My name is Shantonaro." He told me.

"How exactly are you going to be training me, Shantonaro?"

He held his hand up, I don't know if that's supposed to mean anything or something, but it's still up.

Suddenly a shock of lightning came down from the void to his hand. He directed his hand to me, moving the lightning to me as well.

I got pushed back far, I feel like I can't move.

"For now, I shot you with lightning so you won't lose any more brain cells." He said reaching his hand out to help me up.

"Wasn't there a less painful way to do that?" I asked, grabbing his hand to get up.

"Nope."

"How long have I been out for anyway?" I asked, curiously.

"Only a day and a half." He responded, calmly.

"I need to wake up! They are probably worried and I need to get to my sister!" I panicked.

He slapped me, and all the sudden everything turned black once again, nobody was there.

I heard someone close, as if they were next to me, but I still couldn't see anything.

"Open your eyes stupid." I heard a voice say.

I opened my eyes and saw I was in the recovery girls office. Shinso is here next to me, asleep, I could hear his breathing pattern.

I feel so dumb for not opening my eyes like that.

"As you should." The voice said again.

"Is that you Shantonaro?" I asked softly.

"Yeah, it's me."

Shinso woke up, widening his eyes seeing that I was awake. He quickly took me in for a hug, crying softly.

"I'm so glad you're okay Denks." Toshi told me softly.

I hugged him back as I said, "Everything should be fine now, but is Dei back yet?"

"No, s-she isn't."

Kiri walked in, and when he saw me, he immediately said, "Bro! You're awake!"

I slightly laughed at this statement as did Toshi.

"Yeah, I'm awake." I told him.
