Taking Off Your Mask

An Accident?

I felt Rue scratching my leg. I picked her up and let her down. I turned off my laptop and went to take a shower. I grabbed a towel and a shirt out of my closet. Rue ran downstairs and slept in her bed. I walked into the bathroom and turned the shower on. I walked in and felt the warm water cover my body.

I walked out of the shower and changed into my pajamas. I jumped onto my bed and turned on the tv. I slowly fell asleep to the sounds of people yelling at each other.

I woke up in a familiar room. I sat up and took in my surroundings. Out of the corner of my eye I saw the "Mad Cry" mask. SHIT. THIS IS THE SAME ROOM FROM LAST TIME. Why the hell am I here again?

I heard footsteps walking towards the door once again. Just like last time. The person ,who I assume is cry, knocked on the door. I got up and opened the door.
"Good morning Ebony! How did you sleep?" Cry said enthusiastically.
"Very well. Thank you for asking, Cry." I replied.
"Oh yeah! I almost forgot. I don't know how to tell you this, but, well, all I'm going to say is tell Louise you love her. "
What the hell does he mean. Tell her I love her? I always do. " Why? I do every night. What's going to happen to her?"
"I'm afraid I can't explain in time. I am truly sorry."

As soon as he said that my phone started ringing. Why is mother calling at midnight? I groggily answered her.
"Ebony? I have to tell you something."
"Yes? What is it?"
"It's your sister. She- got hit by a car. I took her to the store because she was sick and she couldn't sleep and- and" I could hear her sobbing softly.
"Momma, I'm buying a ticket and coming back as soon as I can. I promise. "

I hung up and opened my laptop. I ordered a ticket straight home. The only flight avalible was in two days. I can't wait that long. Shit. I unlocked my phone and texted Cry.
Ebony: Hey Cry. What's up?
I was worried sick about Louise. Wait. Dream-Cry told me to tell her I loved her. Did he know this was going to happen? My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of my phone ringing.
Cry: Hey, friend. I'm just editing some videos. What's up with you?
Ebony: I have to book a flight back to Colorado. Somehow my sister got hit by a car. I'm trying to find a flight that leaves tomorrow but the only one leaves in two days.
Cry: Listen, I'm so sorry. I really do hope she is alright. Maybe we could meet up somewhere in a little while to talk about this.
Ebony: Yeah, that would be great. How does the Cafe sound to you?
Cry: Sounds great. I'll be wearing my mask. See you there friend.

Since the cafe is relatively close I decided to walk. It was extremely nice out today, so I decided to take some pictures along the way.
I saw Cry walking towards the cafe and ran to catch up to him. I tapped him on the shoulder and he jumped. "Well hello there, friend," I held my hand out to him, "Sparkles."
He hesitantly shook my hand. "You scared the living shit out of me there. "
"Sorry." I said, and we continued into the cafe. I ordered a caramel mocha, and Cry ordered a (drink name here cause idk any). We took a seat near the front and started talking.
"So, how are you holding up?"
" Well. I honestly don't know. I'm just really shaken up, and I don't know what to do. Now I'm having anxiety about riding the plane home again. "
" It'll be okay. I promise. Do you know what you're going to with Rue? "
" Shit. I completely forgot about her. I might take her with if I can." We continued to talk till four thirty and walked around town for a while.

I walked into my apartment and gave Cry a goodbye hug. "Thanks, Cry. That calmed my anxiety a lot. I'll miss you. "
" You know, I could always come with you. "
"You don't have to do that. You have videos to take care of too, so."
"I'll be fine. Plus, I haven't had a vacation in years. I'm coming with. "
"Thank you Cry." I hugged him again and walked inside. I can't believe he's coming with me. He's so nice. I walked upstairs and took a quick shower. Once I got out and got dressed I texted Cry.
Ebony- Do you want me to get you a ticket on the same flight?
Cry- Sure, but I'm going to pay you back once we get there.
Ebony- Okay. Thanks again for this.
Cry- No problem. Good night.
Ebony- Good night.
I got everything together in my suitcase and charged my phone and laptop. Then I grabbed Rue and went to bed.

Sorry it took so long to update. I just wanted to say that the picture to the side or above is Ebony. I couldn't really find a good picture of what I wanted so I settled for this.
