Callum's POV

I get home, thinking of what happened only a few minutes ago. I sigh, unlocking the door. "He seriously gets on my nerves..," I mumble, walking inside. My stomach growls, surprising me a bit.

"I guess it has been a while since I last ate," I say, going to my kitchen. My apartment is relatively small, so it only took a moment. I grab an apple, biting into it. "Mm...! It's been so long since I've had an apple," I exclaim, thinking back to my "training". Although, it was more like a recovery than anything.

I run my fingers gently down a long scar on my stomach. I wince slightly, remembering all of the pain I had went through. "This is all HIS fault..," I growl out, walking to the living room. I plop down on the couch, soaking in the peacefulness.

That, of course, didn't last long. My phone started blasting music in my ear. I yelp, falling off of the couch in surprise. I grab the phone, answering it. "Hello," I say, getting up from the floor. "There's an emergency at base, you need to come quickly!" a panicked voice yells into the phone as a loud sound goes off in the background.

Shit... just what I needed. "I'll be there as quickly as I can," I exclaim, jumping up from the couch. I hang up, quickly running to get some supplies before leaving my apartment.

I take off into the air, heading towards the base of the Hero League. I roll my eyes at the name. Couldn't they be a bit more creative?

Soon enough I see smoke billowing out of a hole in the side of the main building. "What the hell happened..." I mumble to myself. I land near the entrance, seeing people flock outside. I glide through the ever increasing crowd towards the door. A hand reaches out and grabs my arm, making me jolt in surprise.

"There you are! Finally, we've been waiting for you," says Darwin, a close friend of mine. He towers above me, his amber neatly complimenting his fiery red hair. "Whats the situation" I ask, looking at the damage.

Darwin's face turns grim. "There's a traitor" he hisses out, grinding his teeth. My eyes widen. "Do we know who yet," I ask, regaining my composure.

"No, but when we find them, they're going to pay," Darwin says, turning to the ambulances pulling in. Their sirens wail, making me cover my ears. Darwin hugs me, noticing my displeasure. "There were a few casualties..." he says, watching the EMTs carry body bags into an ambulance.

I hug him back slowly, not used to being treated kindly. "Oh...," I sigh, looking at my feet. I've always hated seeing people hurt. Even more so, dead bodies.

Darwin pats my head, giving me a small smile. "I promise we'll catch the person responsible," he says softly. I nod, not in the mood to talk at the moment.
