Chapter 3: When Tragedy Struck

⠀⠀They panicked but did the best they could to fight. However, they were still out numbered. These bears were fast and attacked viciously. One charged for Kirigiri but a last, her Prince Charming came to save her by using his last bullet to kill it. "Th-Thanks.." She said in awe.

⠀⠀The two used everything they had from their bombs to bullets and even knives, but it was no use. No matter how much they would kill off, they would just come back even more powerful in numbers. Just then, a group of savage kumas attempted to attack the girl from behind, but Makoto stepped in front of her, shielding her before it was too late. The bears stabbed him in the stomach countless of times with their sharp nails. Kirigiri watched each one of those stab in horror. After that, they disappeared as if their work was done.

⠀⠀"Na- Na- Na-" The girl stuttered in shock. Her eyes brimmed with tears as the shsl hope fell to the ground. "Naegi!" She screamed out in agony. Her knees grew weak and she plopped onto the ground right beside him. Tears fell one after another after another until a steady stream began to flow. "Naegi?" Her voice cracked as she spoke. The brunette fluttered his eyelids and smiled. "I said I would protect you right?" A tear fell onto his check from the detective. He brought his hand weakly near her face, wiping her tears away. Kyoko grabbed his hand and held onto it tightly. "I'm sorry.. I must leave you now." The girl's eyes widen as blood continued to oozed out of her hero. "No! Please! Stay with me!" She cried out and continued to wail. ".. I need you." She placed her head on his chest lightly and the boy stoked it. "Brave.." Kyoko looked up and neared his face so she could hear him. "Beautiful.. Charming.. Smart... My princess.." The purple haired girl breathed heavily, for she knew what was about to come. "Kyoko Kirigiri.." He gave her a kiss on the cheek and with his last breath said,
