I like her. I have always like Maerazen. How can I not?

It was easy for her to make me fall. She wrapped me wround her fingers so easily and smoothly. Tipong simpleng pag-hinga nya, naakit ako. A small smile from her makes my heart flutter.

Maerazen Saori Zuniga made me fell without her knowledge.

Napa-lingon ako sa labas ng bintana. Maaraw at maganda ang sikat ng araw. The afternoon breeze is not too hot and not to cold. Katamtaman lang. Napansin ko ang pag-hikab ni Miracle at ng mga iba ko pang kaklase kaya nahawa ako at napa-hikab din.

Last subject na ang DIASS. 1st semester for Grade 12 Humanities and Social Sciences. I sighed in relief when the bell rang. Hudyat na oras na ng uwian.

I quickly picked up my bag and stormed out of the room. Nakita ko sila Kyxian na maingay na nag-uusap sa labas ng classroom nila.

“Hey,” bati ko. Sinakal ako ni Asher gamit ang braso nya habang tumatawa. He soon let go.

“Hintayin natin uwian nila Maera? Isang oras lang naman hihintayin eh.” Miracle suggested and my ears perked up upon hearing her name.

Ah, Maerazen Saori Zuniga. I really like that name. What more if her surname gets changed to Urbina?

Napa-iling ako sa naiisip. Maerazen’s too young for that.

My friends agreed and waited for Razen and the other girls to get dismissed. Sa may plazza kami nag-antay habang naka-upo sa isang picnic table. When the bell rang, Miracle walked inside the junior highschool building at hinanap sila.

Then finally, we saw them walking towards our direction. I glanced at Razen who’s talking to Evelia and Miracle. Mukhang kinukulit ng dalawa ang kaibigan. I chuckled when I saw Razen’s annoyed face.

Like any other day, we walked home together. It was fun and the short journey to our homes were always filled with laughter. Kanya-kanya ng kuwento at tawa.

I arched my eyebrow when Maerazen walked slower. Sumabay ito sa lakad ko. I tilted my head to the side and fought the urge to smile when I saw her playing with her hands in a cute manner.

She looked nervous for some reason, though. Pauli-ulit itong lumilingon sa akin na nakapagpa-kaba sa akin.

I must be crazy, I was feeling giddy a minute ago and now I’m nervous?

Hindi ko mapigilan na humanga kay Maerazen. She was the only girl who can mix my emotions.

“Law.” Tawag nito. I stiffled my smile when I heard my name escape her lips.

Nilingon ko ito at takang tinignan, “Hmm?”

“I. . . uhh. . .” She stuttered. Napalitan ng kyuryoso ang kaba na nararamdaman ko. She looked even more cute when she’s nervous.

“Razen?” Natahimik ito ng ilang minuto bago huminga ng malalim.

The next words she muttered surprised me a bit but I was already expecting her to say that sooner or later.

“I like you.” Aniya at mariin akong tinitigan sa mata. That felt good to hear, I admit. I was happy. She like me and I like her, too.

I opened my mouth to speak but closed it again. Naalala ko ang pinag-usapan namin ng tatay nya. Her father, tito Yuan, asked to speak privately with me a week ago. Doon ko nalaman ang nararamdaman ni Maera para sa akin.
