Well it was time for the feast for me. This is going to be lame, I just got here and these freaks are throwing a feast for me. Better keep a look out!
"Come on greenie, time for your feast", said Newt grabbed my hand and gave me a fright. I ran beside him to the fire.
"Light em ' up!"shouted Alby, so they could light up the wooden bug. They all cheered.
"Are you ready?", asked Newt.
"For what? ", I asked with a confused look on my face.
"To meet the bloody jobs of the glade".
"Oh right, know exactly what that means", I said sarcastically.
"Oh come on let's go " said Newt.
We walked in front of two boys and I introduced myself.
"Ashley, this is Jonathan and John they're the med-jacks", said Newt with a smile.
"Hey I'm Jonathan", he shaked my hand,"and this John, my assistant".
John gave Jonathan a little hit
"Hi, so thinking to become med-jack, ah greenie!", said Jonathan and laugh.
"What's a greenie " I asked confused.
"You are cupcake", said John in a baby voice
I was about to pull an arrow from my back, when Newt said bye and we walked away. I had an annoyed look on my face.
"Idiots ", I murmured.
"They're really nice once you get to know them,so don't judge yet ", said Newt.
"I doubt it", I said looking at the lit up wooden bug.
Then we just kept moving forward until we approached about five guys.
"Hey",Jeff shouted Newt,"over here".
"Hey Newt, how's it going", he said.
"Ashley, these are the killers ", said Newt.
As soon as he said killers I took a step back.
"Don't worry, they catch the animals that come up the box and kill them".
" Hi I'm Jeffrey, they call me Jeff ", he said shaking my hand.
"Nice too meet you Jeff the killer, I'm Ashley", I said realising my hand.
He chuckled at my little joke.
"It would really be a lot easier to use your...things behind your back to shoot the animals", said Jeff.
"Really?", I asked him.
"Ya they're very hard to kill with a spear, now only if your good at using them", he said like it was a challenge.
"You tell me", I said as I shot a bird out of the sky.
They were all shocked to see me do that including Newt and most of the glade rs.
"Wow!", said Newt with the same face he had as I almost shot him.
"Well that just shut me right up!", also with a suprised look on his face too.
"Well it was nice meeting you Jeff the killer", I said about to walk away.
"You too bird shooter", he shouted as I left.
Me and Newt walked away.
"You are really good at using that bow", he looking at me,"maybe you can teach me sometime".
"I doubt that's going to happen", I said shaking my head.
"What you think I can't do it".
"No, you can just stick to your sword", I said sarcastically.
We walked over to three guys sitting on a log.
"Hey shuck face"said Newt greeting one guy.
"What up Newty, and who is your new friend", he said shaking my hand.
"Ashley, and we are not friends", I said looking at him, Newt just rolled his eyes.
"Anyway, Clint is a cook", said Newt.
"Oh, so when the killers give you the dead animals you cook them", I asked curiously.
"Yes we do most of the time", said Clint nodding his head. I nodded back.
"Oh, and these are Kevin and Robert, my assistants".
They both glared at him a bit. I could tell that they were cooks too. I chuckled a bit.
"Hey , I saw you shoot the bird from the sky that was really cool, you have a...violent gift " he laughed.
"Thanks", I laughed too.
"Later dude", said Newt and in the conversation.
"Who else ", I said.
"Um...oh the runners, but we will meet them tomorrow", he said. I just nodded. 1 hour later I could see some gladers heading to bed. That left me with a question in my head, Where am I going to sleep? Then that question was answered.
"Hey greenie your going to sleep with me", said Newt from behind me I stopped.
"Woah we just met", I said.
"You can sleep wherever you want the night after, and ewww your going to be sleeping in a sleeping bag", he said turning around disgusted.
"Oh", I said embarrassed, and my face turning red.
When we reached the place I was sleeping I got a sleeping bag, took off my shoes, and TRIED TO got to bed. But it didn't work. This was going to be a long night!!!
