The Maze Of Love

Chapter 12

It's been 3 months already.

Ya I know time flies fast. I have been a runner and yes I came across a few grievers but I handled them with Minho and Ben ' s help.

Me and Newt are now serious. I mean madly in love. I would do anything for him. And you know how I came out of the maze just in time. I made myself one promise. That I would get them all out of here.

We had two new greenies, Ken and Trent.

Tomorrow we get a new greenie and this time I'm really excited. Ya anyway the runners are really confident that we are going to find a way out. We think that we're really close.

"Hey Chuck", I said greeting him a good morning.

"Hey Ashley", he said and hugged me. I love it when he does that, it's like he needs them to survive. So do I.

"I'll meet at the Homestead for breakfast , let me just take a quick shower", I said.

"Ok I'll tell your boyfriend and Minho".

I just rolled my eyes and headed to the showers.

*After shower*

I smelt breakfast on the way to the Homestead.

When I was at the front door I saw all my friends on one bench.

Newt didn't see me because he had his back turned me. I snuck behind him and put my hands on his eyes.

"Guess who", I said.

"Um...a griever", he teased.

"No ", I said confused.

"A monster", he said laughing. That's when I took my hands away titled my head to his side next to his ear but not like I was whispering something.

"Your bad at guessing", I chuckled. The I kissed his cheek.

"Wow love...gross!", said Minho and the last part disgust. I just rolled my eyes and changed the subject.

"So what's for breakfast ", I asked.

"Bacon ,eggs, and crossaints",said Chuck.

"Ya why did you get up so late breakfast was served like an hour ago", asked Newt.

"(Groan) because of that damn griever yesterday."

"Come on greenie run faster ", yelled Minho at me

I ran as fast as I could past the blades . The maze was changing. AGAIN!!!!!!

"THE MAZE DOORS ARE GOING TO CLOSE", I warned him.

We tried our best go get to the doors but by the time we reached there the doors were already close tight.

"Holy shit, we're trapped", Minho whispered. "We're trapped".

"Minho calm down we'll make it", I said trying to calm him down.

"No we won't ", he said pushing me against the wall. I don't think you should have done that!

"OK, WE MIGHT BE TRAPPED HERE AND THIS MAY BE THE LAST FUCKING MOMENT IN OUR LIVES BUT GOD WILL YOU CALM DOWN", I said in his face.

"Ok", he said simply.

I took a deep breathe looking around the maze, thinking what to do.

"Ok maybe we should spears out until a griever comes we'll...um...find our way back to each other", I said.

"Got it , now those doors will open in...4 hours", said Minho looking at his watch.

I just nodded. I gave him a quick hug since this might be the last one he and I will ever get. We split up in our separate ways.

-------2 hours-------
I have been running around this freaking maze for 2 hours. I hope Minho is ok I care about him.
I heard a whirr sound and a ffllick. I looked up to the sky which was pitch black and filled with white stars.

Newt's POV

I can't believe it. My girlfriend and best mate are trapped in the maze for a night. This is not good .I hope they're ok. I am not moving until they come back.

Ashley ' s POV

I ran a little further. I stopped and saw a shadow. It was a griever. I hid underneath a crack in one of the walls. I saw the grievers claw jab in the ground. I put my hand over my mouth to shut up.

Once I it was gone I came out and ran to a corner. I felt something wet on my shoulder. I felt it, slime. Griever. Slime.

I looked up there it was a nasty fucking griever. I screamed and ran as it chased me .

I ran and ran changing ways. I tried to shake it off but it just wouldn't go .
Then I looked to my side and saw Minho.

"Hey greenie can I join the party girlfriend", he teased as we ran for our lives. I dodged the stinger.

"Be my guest", I said back.

"Go left and I'll go right", he said more serious.

The griever still followed me . Was I a target or something.
Then something popped in my head. Your Bow and Arrow. I stopped and quickly got my bow and arrow and shot the fucking beast . I shot once didn't  die but weak. I did a summer salt  and ran the other way to catchup with Minho.

We were both side by side. We heard a thud the maze maze was changing paths I got a great idea. I stopped running but Minho ran like the wind.

"Come on Ashley", he shouted.

"Come on", I shouted to the griever.

It followed me and chased me again. I ran to the path Minho took and the wall was closing in. The griever got flattend  but I made it alive. I hugged Minho and he hugged me.

"How much more time ", I asked on Minho's shoulder.

"An hour ".

"Thank the lord", I said relieved .

"O my shucks you killed a griever", he said shocked.

"Is that so suprising", I released from our hug.

"Well your the first one to do it, you, a girl", he said like I was stupid.

I changed the subject.

"So...what should we do now? ", I asked.

"I think that was the last griever of the night so maybe we should stay by the walls and rest until they open and sun rises", he said looking around.

"Well I bet the new greenie is going to be a dork", I betted Minho.

"If he's a tough guy like Gally you Ashley have to wear my sweaty runner clothes", said Minho.

"And if he is a dork you...um...wear one of my bras for a day".

He looked disgusted.

"Deal", he said.

So we fished our day. Me and Newt hung out. And we did some work, and waited for tomorrow for our new greenie.
