TURNABOUT RAILROAD

DESC: In her first-ever case, fresh defense attorney Ivy Cesar must defend a train stewardess from being indicted of murder. With a veteran defense attorney and her best friend by her side in the courtroom, Ivy Cesar is about ready to take on anything.

"Damn it...just my luck." The mysterious man looked down at the cadaver on the floor, bright blue earbuds wrapped around its neck. "Damn dealers...of all the prozac to take, it had to be MINE?" The people outside chattered and walked amongst themselves, oblivious as to what was happening. The man took off his hat and toupée, slumping down on the floor. The conductor of the train. "Levi...you just got put on those meds and you surely aren't going to take the fall for this. Those earbuds...they're HERS, aren't they? Yeah...she'll be convicted. Easy peasy."

~DISTRICT COURT - DEFENDANT LOBBY NO.5~

Okay, Ivy...stay calm! Stay relaxed! For the sake of your client you have to be...ACK! What do I need to be?! Calm or relaxed? Calm or relaxed? Is there a difference? Of course there is!

"Ivy, girl, you need to relax if you're ever going to make it through this trial," a voice suddenly rang out, dragging Ivy from her thoughts.

"Thana!" Ivy said with a grin, greeting the detective.

"It's so great to see you," Thana replied, giving her friend a massive hug.

This is Detective Thana Abaddon! She's been my best friend since university after...the incident. She knows everything about me and vice versa! Boy, am I glad to see her here!

"So sorry that we haven't been in contact since graduation! It's just that I've been so busy with the precinct and you've been busy with the Wright Anything Agency..." Thana said, looking dismal.

"Don't sweat it! I'm glad you're here! I could use a vote of confidence! Mr. Wright still hasn't showed up yet..." Ivy said, clasping her hands together and looking towards the door of the defendant lobby.

"Ohhh..." Thana said, grimacing. "Then perhaps I may have to give you two bits of bad news instead of one..."

"Oh jeez! Oh help! Not now!" Ivy said. Just my luck, isn't it?

"The first bit of bad news is...I'm the detective testifying today."

    "What?!" Ivy asked.

"Yeah...they put me on the case. I didn't tell you because I didn't think you'd be on the same case as me, and I didn't wanna confuse you with the facts of another case on your very first one," Thana said regretfully. "Who woulda guessed?"

Tell me this isn't happening, Ivy thought. "And the other bad news?"

"Mr. Wright got caught up in another murder trial. He asked me to tell you that he won't be assisting you today,"

    "WHAT?!"

My first case and my boss won't be there?! Time to panic! Time to totally, officially, panic!

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Calm down, girl! It's alright because Mr. Wright also told me he got one of his protégés to fill in for him!" Thana said.

Ivy relaxed a little. "Okay...fair enough," she finally said. Athena...I thought she was busy with Prosecutor Blackquill working on the METIS Program, whatever that is. She took the time out of her day to help me out? I've really got to thank her.
