Eden's POV

I felt bad playing Daisy like that but I knew that it was the easiest way to get away with this all. Plus it wasn't like everything was an act, I did feel really sad anyways I might have just overreacted a little bit on certain things. Once Daisy agreed to go see Luca my plan was bound to succeed, all I had to do next was get some alone time with him and since Daisy and Luca don't like each other much that wasn't going to be a problem I figured.

"You can wait in the car if you want." I suggested on our ride towards the hospital.

"Are you sure? I can just come with you."

"Whatever you want but I just wanted to give you the option."

I had to be careful to not say anything out of the ordinary or else she might know I was up to something. She gave me a smile and reached over to my leg quaking it ever so softly.

"You know when you aren't being a pain in my ass you are really sweet." She chuckled.

"I'm not sure I take that as a compliment." I laughed

"How about this, I'll go park the car while you go on up and then I'll join you soon after." Daisy continued on the previous topic.

It'll have to do, thank you Daisy for making it even easier. I nodded and reached for the door handle once we came to a stop.

"Thank you" I yelled as I slammed the door shut. Once I got inside the hospital and out of Daisy's sight I sprinted to the elevator. Every second counted from now on and I needed to make sure to use them all to their full extent. I pushed the floor button and closed the doors quickly before the old couple reached me, no time for side stops. Once I arrived on the 6th floor I ran to Luca his room and quickly closed the door behind me.

Luca lay in the middle of the room with a drip connected to his wrist. The tv was on but he obviously wasn't watching it as his eyes were closed.

"Luca" I whispered slowly walking towards his bed, "Luca" I repeated this time a little louder.

He slowly opened his eyes which were bloodshot from either the beating or lack of sleep. His face was bruised all over and cuts and scratches marked his cheeks. Once he realized it was me he tried to sit up a little causing him to wince. He had obviously broken some ribs as his chest was completely covered in bandages.

"We don't have much time, Daisy will be here any second but I needed to give you this." I started as I leaper the last couple of meters towards his bed. I reached into my pocket and retrieve the little blue crystal. "I want you to have it. When you have your powers you can defend yourself." I placed it in his hand, "And me." I added. He stared at the object in his hand not believing what I had just given him.

"How did you..."

"We don't have time now. You have to hide it before Daisy arrives."

"What about you?" He asked as he slid the piece into his pillowcase.

"I've got Daisy and the others for now, once I see the chance I will get one for myself."

I wasn't being completely honest with him, I knew all we ever talked about was getting out powers but it wasn't something you had to take lightly. Going through terrigenesis could give you a beautiful gift such as what happened to Daisy, but it could also change your physical form like what happened to Raina and Gordon. I wasn't ready to accept something like that yet, Luca on the other hand didn't seem to have any second thoughts whatsoever.

The door opened and Daisy walked in, "Hey" She played a hand on my shoulder and greeted Luca.

"Thank you for letting Eden come." Luca said trying to play along so it wouldn't become awkward.

"Yeah no problem" Daisy forced a smile on her face, "Plus you know how stubborn she can be." She added loosening up a little bit.

"Hey!" I slapped her thigh and all three of us started giggling.

"When will you be allowed to leave?" even though really it was me who wanted to leave. Every second we were here longer we had more chance of Daisy finding out what had really happened.

"Probably tomorrow, they just wanted to keep me here one more nice to observe... I don't know, my ribs or something."

"Mhhh" I murmured not really listening to his answer. How was I going to get us out of here?

suddenly the door opened and a nurse walked in, when her eyes met mine she stopped in her tracks. "Oh sorry, I didn't know you had company." She spoke, "I would have knocked." She continued her way towards the bed and circled to the other side.

"I'll be gone in a sec." She checked the drip and flipped a few switches then she turned to Luca. "That looks very uncomfortable, here I'll help you sit up."

Shit! I had to distract Daisy, or even better get her out of here. The nurse reached for Luca's pillow...

"Daisy we should probably be going anyways, visitation doesn't start for another three hours." I pulled Daisy's sleeve towards the exit while she looked at me with a confused gaze.

"No don't be silly, I'll keep my mouth shut." The nurse chimed in and helped Luca sit up straighter by adjusting his pillow. As Luca leaned back into his pillow I saw his face crunch up.

"No we will be going, we wouldn't want to disturb his healing process." I was just making up the words as I went, I didn't have much choice. The crystal shard had obviously turned and was now digging into Luca his back, that's why his face was still scrunched up.

"Eden what's going on with you?" Daisy stopped abruptly while I tried to push her towards the door. "One second you're dying to get here and the next you can't wait and leave."

This was it, she was going to know something was off. I was a dead girl.
