Heads up: they fuck in this chapter

~

Josh looks around the safehouse, which is actually a basement apartment, though it is by far the nicest basement that Josh has ever set foot in. The building  above is vacant, home to a long-closed restaurant. The building, he discovers after doing some searching online, has been designated a historical site. No one wants to buy it, because it can't be torn down and replaced with luxury condos.

The apartment is gorgeous, an old building with ornate iron grills over the windows and well cared for wooden floors. The walls are covered in beautiful retro floral wallpaper, featuring the occasional landscape painting in a carved wooden frame. The furniture is entirely cheap antiques, which Josh absolutely loves the look of. It is bigger than Josh's usual apartment, so an automatic sense of luxury is attributed to it in his eyes. The place is truly lovely, making the thought of going to ground there as appealing as going to ground can be.

This apartment fits their purposes well. There are no windows, two exits, and no neighbours to pry into the mysterious gay couple living downstairs. It takes them a few trips to bring in their belongings and groceries, though luckily there is a garage in which to hide Josh's car.

Finally, they have put away all the groceries, as well as the toiletries and cleaning supplies. Josh is feeling emotionally exhausted, so he flops down on the couch and exhales dramatically.

Oliver smiles and sits down besides him, "How you feelin'?" He asks gently, putting an arm around Josh.

Josh smiles back and leans into Oli's side, "Tired." He says honestly, "Everything today has been so exhausting."

Oliver runs his fingers through Josh's hair affectionately, in a way that feels soothing. Josh closes his eyes and allows himself to relax while Oli comforts him with the loving gesture.

"We're gonna survive this, y'know?" Oliver says softly, "We're gonna be okay."

Josh quietly hums his agreement, "I know." He whispers, trying to make himself believe it. He has to believe it.

Joshua is extremely stressed- in fact, he is more stressed than he is exhausted- and he feels that he needs a distraction. His eyes snap open as he figures out what that distraction could be.

"Hey, Oliver?"

"Yeah?"

"Distract me."

He can feel Oliver swallow at those words. "How do you want to be distracted?" He asks, though Josh is pretty sure that Oli can guess what he is getting at with that statement.

"I'm sure we'll think of something." Josh murmurs, sitting up and ghosting his lips along Oliver's neck. He enjoys the shiver that ripples across Oli's skin, the sharp intake of breath and stuttered exhale.

"Fuck." Oliver breathes, "Fuck yes."

Josh grins, pleased at the effect he has on his boyfriend when he teases him like this. "Tell me what you want, darling." He chides, placing his hands on Oliver's waist and starting to kiss his neck.

Oliver takes a deep breath, "I want you to fuck me." He blurts out.

Now that, while incredibly hot, is not what Josh expected to hear. The idea of Oli wanting to bottom never even crossed his mind, but he finds that he likes the idea of it all. Josh runs his fingers through Oliver's hair, then gently tugs it back, giving him more access to his boyfriend's neck.

"Shit." Oli gasps, "Pull harder."

Josh pauses kissing his neck and looks at him with raised eyebrows.
