Chapter 21- A New Relationship

Lanny's POV

I pulled away, and stared into his eyes.

"You know how long I've waited for that?" He rasped.

I giggled, "Not a long time?"

He smiled, "So you gonna tell the douche the news?"

"What news?" I asked innocently.

He groaned, "That you're with me now."

I grinned, and nodded. His eyes lit up, and I blushed.

He's so cute, its kinda scary.

"Tommy? I think, its time for us, to.." I trailed off, scared to finish.

"To?" He asked, nervously, looking at me intensely.

I turned away, and looked at him again. "This isn't gonna work." I whispered.

He sighed, "Of course it isn't, you were too good for me in the first place."

I frowned, "What?"

He reached for my hands, and then shook his head, and pulled his hands back. "I'm sorry, that was.. awkward.. You were this girl, who everybody loved, while I was some adopted kid, who dropped out. It'd be impossible for us to be together."

"But, there's books, where the bad boy-"

He cut me off, "Book, that's the keyword. Its a book, this is reality. I'll always love you. I wish I could just.. call you mine for just a little bit longer. But its not gonna happen. Its for the best, bye Lanny." He stood up, and left the cafe, and left me sitting there.

I was so eager to break-up with him, and now, now I feel like shit, after what I wanted to do. Was that the right thing to do?

"Will you officially be my girlfriend now?" Jesse asked, wrapping an arm around my shoulder, pulling me closer to him.

"Hell yeah," I mumbled, enjoying the moment. We were sitting on top of his car, in the school's empty parking lot, which was surprisingly.. fun?

He chuckled, "Good, now care to tell me why the sudden change of mind? I mean, you were with the Tommy guy, for what? A whole fucking month?"

I slapped his arm playfully, "Watch your mouth. You wanna know? Well, I already knew I liked you.. I just wanted to see if I still had feelings for him."

His grip tightened, "Did you?"

I cringed, and he loosened his grip, "Sorry."

"Nope." I said confidently, my mind drifting back to our dreadful last, 'Date'.

Flashback: (I would do it in italics, but my laptop's being retarded, so heres the flashback)

"Table for two, please." Tommy told the waiter, who smirked back at him.

She was tall, with blonde hair, and long legs. She was wearing a tight, short black dress, and flats. I hated the fact that she was eye-groping Tommy. I mean, I didn't like him enough to get jealous, but it still pissed me off.

"What would you like today?" She asked, as soon as we sat down. She stared at Tommy, and he grinned back. I let out a sigh, and pulled out my phone. Why the fuck am I even here, when nobody wants me here?

I opened up some random game, and got carried away in the game.

"Thanks Rose." Tommy said, closing the menu. ROSE, took the menu, gave him one last look, and sashayed away.

"What'd you get for me?" I asked, coldly.

His face paled, and I raised my eyebrows. "Wow, so distracted by that.. that hoe, you forgot about your freaking girlfriend."

I stood up, and left the restaurant, hearing Tommy run after me.

End of Flashback

"Hey, you okay?" Jesse asked, and I nodded.

I snuggled closer to him, and he held me tighter. "Can I tell you something?" Jesse started.

"Yeah, of course."

"You're so beautiful, and I'm so happy to call you mine." Jesse told me, leaving me blushing. He kissed the top of my head, and I smiled.

" Thanks, Jesse."

He took off his leather jacket, and draped it around me. "Anytime, beautiful, anytime."

"Hey Ava?" I asked, lightly knocking on her open door

"Hey Lanny?" She responded, and I laughed.

I walked into her room, and flopped onto her bed.

"Guess what?"

"Chickenbutt." She responded, carelessly.

"Jesse's my boyfriend." I said, she sat upright, and let out a squeal.

"DETAILS, NOW!"

"Yeah, so we're going out.." I finished, telling the girls. Hailey, and Mia came over for a sleepover.

They squealed, and I laughed.

"So whats up with you guys?" I asked.

"Well.. You see, I kinda met this guy.." Hailey trailed off.

Mia and I looked at her, and she laughed nervously.

"Well, don't get too mad.. But, we've been going out for a while.."

"WHAT?!" Mia and I let out, outraged, she didn't let us know.

"Hah, you see.. his name, his name is Alex-"

I cut her off, "ALEX? JESSE'S BESTFRIEND?!"

She nodded, and Mia screamed. "I'M THE ONLY ONE LEFT SINGLE!"

I laughed, and Hailed glanced at Mia, before laughing out loud. (Lol, thats funny..)

I patted her shoulder playfully, "You have Cam." Mia swatted my hand away, and stuck her tongue at me. "EW I don't even like him!"
