Dear outside world,
What keeps us apart?
A valley of doubts, an abyss of "why"s.
A sea of denial, a sky of sighs.
Here I cower,
In my enclosed glass tower.
Silent,
Hushed by your undermining eyes.
Silent,
Shushed by your judging voice.
You are visible, audible, only a glass away.
Yet so intangible,
For you are worlds away.
Whenever I speak up, whenever I beg to be heard,
I tumble into the valley of doubts,
I stumble into the abyss of "why"s.
Tides of denial devour me,
As clouds of sighs rain down on me.
Can I ever swim through the denial,
Soar through the sighs?
Can I ever get there to you,
The remote outside?
