Nala's POV
I was woken early by my phone vibrating in my pocket. Still half asleep I got my phone out and looked at it but didn't bother answering it. Instead I got up and took Kovu to the kitchen where I made some baby food and milk for him. I had an apple while I waited for him to wake up. I then fed him and took him to his room, where he fell back to sleep. I was making my way along the corridor when I heard someone call me, turning around I saw Kim(not from the Yogscast) smiling at me.
"Morning!" I called as she made her way towards me.
"Morning! How was your sleep last night?" She replied.
"Pretty good seeing as I fell asleep against a tree." I said, laughing slightly, "I take it your of to get food?"
"Yeah, wanna come with me?" She asked.
"Sure!" I answered and followed her to the canteen.
Kim had just finished her breakfast, when the speaker announced that a couple was coming to adopt and child that's 7 or under.
"You better be going!" I said to Kim as she got up.
"Yeah..."She sighed.
"Hey. Just be yourself. Im sure they'll love you!" I said to her, she nodded and smiled before going to the main hall. I got up and made my way to the music room, checking on Kovu as I passed. Once I'd got there, I sat on a chair and lent it back. I then got my guitar out and began to play some chords. I played a few songs, though I was deep in thought while I played and therefore didn't notice Kim creep up behind me.
"Hey!" She said, making me jump.
"Oh..Hi. How was the adoption?" I asked, smiling.
"Brilliant! I got adopted!" She basically shouted.
"That's great! When are they picking you up?" I asked.
"Midday tomorrow." she replied.
"How about we play some minecraft for a few hours?" I suggested.
"I..uh...I don't have an account." she mumbled, slightly embarrassed.
"Haha. No problem. What would your name be?" I asked.
"Dunno. Something like MiniSounds." she replied.
"Cool. Hey, why don't you go upstairs and get packed then we can go play some other games." I suggest. Kim nodded and made her way to her room but stopped at the door.
"Why should I meet you?" She asked.
"I'll either be in here, Kovu's room or outside by the Willow tree." I replied.
"Ok. I'll see you in a bit." she said, leaving. I got up and went to Kovu's room, where I got out my laptop and went onto the Minecraft website. I then went onto log in and made an new account. I was outside sat on a branch of the Willow tree when Kin came out.
"Nala!" She called looking up at me, " I've finished!"
"Ok." I called back, jumping of the branch and landing next to her, "shall we go into the computer room?"
"Sure!" She replied and lead the way. When we got there she logged onto one of the computers while I logged onto my laptop.
"I've got a surprise for you." I said, once she'd logged on, " Just close your eyes for a minute." Kim obeyed and closed her eyes, while I went onto the Minecraft website and downloaded the game. Then logged into it. I used a sticky note to write down her name and password.
"Ok you can look again." I said.
"Oh my god! Thank you so much!" She shouted, happily and got up to give me a hug.
"Do you wanna play Minecraft now?" I asked.
"Yes!" She replied. So I spent an horror so to yeah her the basics. Then we played some mini games and other things. It was soon time for tea and so we logged off and I put my laptop back in my bag. We then made our way to the canteen, where Kim went to get food and I went up to Kovu's room with some milk. I fed him and went back to the canteen. When I got there I was surprised to see Kim on the floor, crying and a couple of girls, who wore makeup and all that girly stuff, laughing at her. They was the only ones in there.
"Hey!" I shouted. "Leave her alone!"
"Oh...and what are you gonna do about it?" One of them asked, looking around.
"You wanna know what I'm gonna do to you? Well you see I'm gonna cazzo battere up!" I shouted the last bit in Italian (Fucking beat you up -Translated into English.) The girls looked taken back and utterly confused by what is just said.
"Well.." The second one said, unsure of what to do. She was push forward by the first one though and was urged on to say or do something to hurt me.
"Coward!" I shouted at the first. That angered her and she ran at me but I easily dodged and tripped her up. She got up and ran out, I didn't bother to chase after her. I looked at the other one and saw her kicking and shouting insults at Kim.
"Si canga (You bitch)" I shouted, running at her and pushed her away from Kim and onto the floor. I got up and left her there.
"Nala! Watch out!" I heard Kim say from behind me. I turned around a moment to late and got cut on the back of my neck. I looked at my attacker and saw the lead bully. who in now gonna call Melissa 2, with a knife in her hand, stood in a fighting stance. She lunged forward but I once again dodged and laughed at her. I turned to face her punched her in the stomach, making her double over. But the bitch got back up and started to taunt me.
"Is that the best you can do?" She asked, laughing," even an baby could do better."
"Well, you see. I don't think that my time and energy should be wasted on beating you up." I replied, in a matter-of-fact tone. Her face went red with anger and she ran at me, swinging the knife everywhere. I managed to dodge it a few times but ended up getting cut from the top of me eye to the top of my lip and a few more cuts on my arms. Melissa 2 was doing pretty well and I could tell she had had training when she was younger but obviously not as much as me as I had managed to fracture her wrist and cut her on both arms a few times. I had also punch her a bit, she was the worst at dodging cause everything I tried hit exactly where I wanted it to. Luckily, only me, Kim, the other bully and Melissa 2 knew about it. It ended about 30 minutes before, the bullies gave in and ran of the the lady running the place, while I went over to Kim and asked her if was okay.
"Yeah, I'm fine." she replied, "But you don't look fine."
"Nah. I fine. Come on let's go play some games." I replied, smiling.
"Wow. You really like playing games. don't you?" She said, laughing.
"Well it is my job." I replied laughing, "I'll meet you in the computer room. Just gonna go to the bathroom and tidy up."
"That's fine. See you in a minute." she said, going of the computer room. I made my way to the bathrooms, where I was off all the blood from my neck, arms and face. I then slid to the floor and just sat there. I was there for like 10 minutes before I decide to get up, I washed of the bits of blood that had fallen while I was sat there. Then made my way to the computer room where me and Kim played Minecraft for an hour. I was starting get tired then and Kim could tell because she said,
"Why don't we carry on tomorrow?"
"Sure. I'll see you then." I replied, nearly falling asleep.
"Hey. Do you wanna sleep in my room tonight?" Kim asked.
"No it's fine. I'll find somewhere." I replied, getting up, unsteadily. Kim also got up and said good night before leaving. I made my way up to Kovu's room where I sat on the chair and lent back, I played a few chords on my guitar before I played a few songs. The first one that came to mind was the Black Parade by Chemical Romance. I sung quietly as I played. I got through 2 more songs before I passed out.
I was awoken by sounds of screaming and crying the next day. I was still sore from yesterday, so I was slightly slower getting to where the source of the sound was. But I was awaken fully when I saw what was happening. Everyone was in the canteen, an single window was smashed and there stood Ash, she held a knife to Hannah's neck, Lewis was stood crying a few feet away.
"OI! ASH! LEAVE THEM ALONE AND GET OUT OF THIS ORPHANAGE RIGHT NOW!" I shouted making my way through the crowd towards her.
"Now, why should I do that? I've only just started!" She replied, laughing, "I tell you what I'll make you a deal. You for their safety."
'What has she turned into?' I asked myself, 'Please say this works.' I pulled out an iron band from my pocket, in it held a jewel the same colour and shape as an ender pearl. I had gotten it from my first home, a note was attached. It had said that the wearer would be able to teleport at will. I slid it on and got into a fighting stance in front of Ash.
"Oh, we are gonna fight are we?" She asked, evilly. I made no reacted but concentrated on a point behind Ash and just as she loosened her grip on the knife and Hannah, I teleported. Taking her by surprise, I grabbed her wrist and twisted it making her drop the knife and Hannah, who ran to Lewis, I then proceeded to grab her and put my Phantom Hook to her neck.
"One move and your dead." I whispered in her ear.
"Now, you would do that to me, your best friend, your sister?" She asked, joking.
"Your no family or friend of mine anymore." I replied harshly.
"Oh that's how you want to play." she said, smirking. She made a hand signal and the 2 bullies from yesterday stepped forward.
"Ah. Thoughted you'd trained these 2." I said, laughing slightly.
"Oh and what made you think that?" She asked.
"Well they are both shit at fighting. You are a rubbish teacher." I replied, pushing her to the side and stood to face the two girls. They both rushed at me at the same time, trying to confuse me but it didn't work. I dodge both attacks with ease and pushed them to the floor, punching them in the stomach as they fell. I felt something hard hit my in the back of my head and as I turned I saw Ash, with a frying pan in her hands.
"Wow. Disney much?" I asked, laughing. Ash relaxed a little and laughed a bit, just the reaction I had hoped for and so I kicked the pan out of her hand and punched her in the face, she fell to the ground and I walked over to Lewis and Hannah to check if they was okay. However I didn't get there as I suddenly got a huge amount of pain in my arm, where I found a mini arrow stuck there. Annoyed, I turned around and saw Ash, another arrow ready to shoot, and the two bullies behind her holding up Kim. I put my hands up to n surrender.
"Leave them be, Ash." I said calmly. "This is not who you are."
"How would you know who I am? You left me!" She shouted, anger burning in her eyes.
"I left you with a family, someone to look after you!" I shouted back, just as annoyed. I moved forward slightly and saw her pull the arrow back a bit more. I glanced behind me and saw no one there. I put my hands down and ran, straight at Ash who fired an arrow but it missed it target, hitting the wall behind me. She didn't have a chance to reload another before I had knocked her down to the floor, I flexed a muscle in my arm which set of the hidden blade and I cut the back of her neck, not enough to seriously injure just enough to make her cry out in pain and surrender.
"If you ever try this again. I will not let you of as easily as this." I whispered in here ear. "Goodbye Ash, please treat your family nicely."
"I'm not going anywhere, but you are." she replied.
"Oh and where's that?" I asked. She stayed silent.
"If I was to tell you that I was going to kill you, would you believe me?" She asked.
"No, seeing that your on the floor." I replied.
"Well you better believe it, cause I'm gonna." she said, harshly. She tried to push me off of her but I didn't budge. Instead I got up and kicked her, went over to Kim and took her to Hannah and Lewis, out the way of the fight, then left. No one stopped me, I left and went to the adoption room where I went to the far wall and lent against the wall, my eyes never left the door. Ash walked in soon after, no one has followed her, just as I had hoped. I stood there as she ran at me and slashed me over and over, leaving cuts on my face and arms. I didn't bother to fight back. I waited till she had used all her energy to strike. She had started to tire when I punched her in the face and then cut her chest, arms and legs. I pushed her to the ground and she didn't get up for a few minutes, she was breathing so I knew she wasn't dead.
"Come one Ash! I bet Zoey's missing her little girl! You best be going and tell her a made up story!" I called. I had hit a nerve there because she got up and glared daggers at me before leaving through the back door, she never said a word.
I was about to open the main doors to leave when I pushed back by the doors opening, in came Lewis, Hannah and Kim. I could hear the sounds of children running back to their rooms and the adults going to check on them.
"Oh sorry." Lewis said, when he saw me on the floor.
"No problem." I replied getting up. I closed the door and turned to face the three of them.
"So...uh..." Lewis said, unsure.
"Why did you help us? I thought you'd ran out on us." Hannah asked.
"She was-"Kim started but I cut her of.
"I may have left but it doesn't mean I won't help out old friends or family members." I replied. Kim looked at me confused.
"But that's-" she began to say.
"Later, Kim." I interrupted her, kind of harshly.
"Wait. Let her speak." Lewis said, annoyed at how I had just spoken to her.
"Fine but I'm not staying here to listen." I replied, I opened the door and left. I went to one off places that feels like home, Kovu's room. I walked in and went over to him, I watched him for awhile. Then went to the chair and got my guitar out, I played a few chord before putting it back on the floor. There was a furious knock on the door, which woke up Kovu, I unlocked the door and went over to Kovu and picked him. He curled up in my arms and watched the door. A few moments later it flew open, nearly coming of the hinges.
"You know it was open, don't you?" I stated, not looking up.
"Well..uh." I heard a voice from above me, I looked up and saw Lewis, he looked slightly embarrassed.
"Who's that?" He asked, pointing to the baby curled up in my arms.
"Kovu." I replied.
"What are you doing here?" He asked.
"Looking after Kovu." I replied.
"Why?" He asked.
"Saw the news, so I came here." I replied, 'how has he not caught on yet!' I asked myself.
"Ok." He replied, " Let's go talk to Hannah and Kim. They are in the music room."
"Ok I'll be down in a minute." I replied, Lewis nodded and got up. I put Kovu back in the crib and made my way down to the music room. I walked in and closed the door behind me. I sat in the chair closeted to the door and lent back, watching the other 3.
"So. Lewis has told me that you are here to look after a baby called Kovu." Hannah stated.
"Yep. That's true." I replied.
"How long are expecting to stay here?" Hannah asked.
"Until Kovu is old enough to leave, so a few months." I replied.
"Are you taking Kovu with you, when you leave?" Lewis asked.
"Yep. Kinda have to." I replied.
"Why do you have to?" Hannah replied.
"Do you watch the news?" I asked.
"Yep." They replied.
"Wow, you guys are so slow at catching on." I stated, "Kovu is my brother. Our parents died in a car crash."
"Oh." Hannah said, "so your never coming back to live with the Yogscast?"
" I really dunno, right now." I replied. Hannah nodded and the 3 left, Kim gave me a hug and a phone number. I smiled slightly and watched them leave. I went to the bathrooms and looked at myself in the mirror, my face was basically covered in blood now, I waged it off and saw that the bottom half of my face was covered in cuts that probably never leave, there was also a large scar that went over my eye. I found a length of black fabric in my pockets and used it as a mask to cover the bottom of my face and then used my hair to cover my eye.
